As a casual photographer I do not take a lot of pictures, so I found a digital camera perfect for me. I don't have to wait months to see the results and I can take lots of shots and print only the best ones. It is quite easy to operate for a novice digital person and I am pleased with the results.

I was surprised at the small size (it's smaller than my Blackberry) and it took a little time to get used to handling it. But now I feel the size is a plus. It easily slips into a pocket - great when you have young kids and you need to snap a quick shot or put it away quickly.
There are plenty of advanced features for specialty shots, although the smile recognition mode is not reliable.
Hooking up to the PC is easy and the file xfer is quick.
The LCD display can show vertical lines in certain conditions although the pictures are not affected.
Battery life is short but it's rechargeable so not really an issue.
Easily hooks up to the TV as well.
Digital zoom gives good results with good lighting.
