I carry this camera with me pretty much everywhere I go. It's a pocket-able pro level camera. The pancake lens is great.
My camera was delivered on time. The web site is user-friendly. I am extremely satisfied with the online service. Also, the price is the lowest on the internet.

Comments about Panasonic Panasonic Lumix Series DMC-GF1C Black 12.1 Megapixel Digital Camera:
The first thing you realize is weight. Compared to my DSLR it is very light. Even if you use the larger lens it is still quite light. The LCD screen is better in bright light then many others and it very sharp, but you may want the viewfinder. It is light and easy to use.
The video does a nice job. The audio is not stereo. It creates AVCHD Lite videos. It will play on your computer, but probably not on your DVD player.
There are a number of inexpensive programs that will convert it to a standard file that your DVD player will play.
If you have 4/3rd lenses the adapter works fine, but you will have to do manual focus.
One annoyance is that you have to get an expensive SD card. Because it has vide0 and also the ability to do bursts, the card has to be fast. A minimum of class 6.
I'm quite happy with it.

This is a beautiful camera. You will enjoy it!
We had to wait until the manufacturer produced more cameras, but it was well worth the wait. Customer service was great.

Comments about Panasonic Panasonic Lumix Series DMC-GF1C Black 12.1 Megapixel Digital Camera:
This lens is great for low light indoor photography. I was taking pictures of my daughter at night in a room lit with just incandescent bulbs at ISO 400 and no flash. They came out great. The shutter speed was a bit slower, so it she jerked around as I took the shot, there was a blur. It's great for snapping a few shots before she realizes daddy has the camera out. With the flash, it's harder to be as incognito.
The video is great too. The auto focus is slower than on dedicated camcorders, but it is nice to have. The dedicated video button makes it easy to get videos on the fly, and allows you to focus on what you want to capture instead of hunting for the icon on the mode dial.
The menus are pretty comprehensive, and the C1 and C2 settings are easily customizable. The mode dial rarely leaves C1. The button layout is amazing too. It's easy to make rapid changes by pressing the parameter you want to change on the d-pad then scrolling the wheel with your thumb. I would argue that the dial should be on the left so you can press the parameters with your right thumb and change the value with the dial with your left thumb, but oh well. My thumb has just gotten more flexible.
The screen is bright and colorful, and doesn't get too choppy in low light. I was amazed when I first turned the camera on and saw the refresh rate. There is no lag between what you see and what is shown on the LCD. Using other cameras now and then really highlights how great the screen is.
The lenses are great and I ended up buying both kit lenses, and I feel like that completes the system for me. I might add the telephoto, but honestly, the versatility of the "pancake" lens is amazing. It takes great low light pictures, and amazing landscape shots. It keeps the camera size down as well. Then there's the 14-45mm lens. When house-hunting, I take it along and am always amazed at how much that 28mm equivalent lens captures. It almost feels like fish-eye without the pincushion. The aperture is a little small on the zoom lens, but the wide open "pancake" screws on quite easily when you need a larger aperture.
As if you cannot already tell, I love this camera. I was very torn between this and one of the offerings from C**** or N****, but I am glad I decided on this one. My wife, who has only used point and shoots, and shies away from dSLRs, loves it, and is comfortable using it. My wife and I aren't the only admirers though; my father-in-law owns a N**** D3 and went nuts when he saw this thing. He said he wanted one and that he was jealous, even though he owns (arguably) the best full frame sensor camera made.

Comments about Panasonic Panasonic Lumix Series DMC-GF1C Black 12.1 Megapixel Digital Camera:
I love the fact that it is compact in the sense that a dSLR will NOT fit in your jacket pocket. This camera with the 20 mm kit lens will fit most generous jacket pockets. Even though the LCD screen is really great, I suggest the viewfinder if you are shooting in bright sunlight as it may be difficult to sense exposure on the LCD. I will be purchasing a zoom lens in the near future to complement the pancake lens.

Comments about Panasonic Panasonic Lumix Series DMC-GF1C Black 12.1 Megapixel Digital Camera:
I thought I would love this camera but I was very disappointed with it. For the price, the lcd screen should be much better or if they can't fix the lcd screen then put in a built in viewfinder. The lcd screen is very grainy and blurry, makes it almost impossible to manually focus. Maybe I just got a lemon. Also, it cannot compete with a dslr with it's shutter lag. Panasonic has a great idea with the camera but they need to do some more work on it. [...]

Comments about Panasonic Panasonic Lumix Series DMC-GF1C Black 12.1 Megapixel Digital Camera:
This is a great camera. I always wanted to get a camera that is portable, rangefinder size. Of course, this is not a rangefinder by definition, but it sure feels like one. I love how you can change the lenses. Micro 4/3 sensor resolution is excellent given the size of the camera. This camera is definitely a must-have for a companion to your bulky DSLR system :).
