Loved my DSC W7 and was great for over 6 years. The HX1 is a hugh leap forward in picture and video quality and available functions/options. Best to get the full size Sony camera case which protects the camera and has plenty of storage space for extras like batteries, charger, cables, lenses and more. Good battery life and fast recharge time. Hard to be disappointed with this model. Enjoy and click away!

I love the way it takes action shots with my 4 grandkids who are always on the go. The videa feature is great also for those unexpected talent shows done...on the spot, and you are lucky enough to be able to catch it all!

You need to buy a memory stick with the camera (doesn't come with one). For the price it should have a small one ready to go with it.

I recommend the 16GB Sony Memory - stores about 2,000+ high resolution pictures.

Great quality photos. Easy to use for the beginner who whats to learn about photo taking without a hugh expense. Great low light and close up photos. I highly recommend this camera. With 8 gig card you can take over 1100 photos or 1 1/2 hours of 1080p video. Great camera!!
