This product really improved our lives. It works great so long as you set it up properly. The only problems we have had with it is when some one moved the transmitter. Set up was easy and took minutes.

I didn't want to pay for an extra cable/satellite box for my spare room, so now all I have to do is take the remote from the other set and can change my channels in the spare room through the remote extender

Some of the review say it is hard to figure out which is the transmitter and which is the receiver, but they are clearly labeled now (new design I think). You literally plug it in and your done....works GREAT.
I was worried about latency but there is none.
It comes with a plugin IR blaster cord as well so you can hide unit out of site.
The only issue I really have is the range. The RF range is fine...goes through walls about 30 feet away in my house. But the range from your remote to the IR receiver is pretty bad. Using a DirecTV remote I could only go back about 8-9 feet...any more and it wouldn't pick up the IR. Yet the DTV box and my TV pick up the IR signal from 20 feet back without any problem. I need it to go back about 12 feet and it just doesn't so that part sucks. Everything else is top notch.

Item can be tricky to set up, directions aren't real clear on which is actually the one to setup by the unit to be controlled and which is to be set in the room you want to work the remote from. Once I got them in the correct places, it worked like a charm.

The new shape is not the same as the the old one and not at all like the photo in the on line sale, and the orantion of this one as to foe the recver and the wirers in puts make it hard to set up right

Bought this product at the store because we recently bought a small HD TV and we had to put the Comcast HD tuner in a cabnet and so far this product works great. Couldn't tell you much about the RF signal strength because the transmitter and the reciever are just separated by a piece of wood but the IR strength is great, it runs the tuner, and perodically a computer. The installation was as easy as pluging both units in. One downside is that they are slightly larger than I hoped they would be but only slightly and for only [$]its a bargin.

This product works as advertised. Setup was very easy. The only issue I had was the receiver was too big to fit in the area of the device I wanted to control. This product does come with the individual IR transmitters which do solve that problem.

I use it to operate equipment (HD Cable Box, Bose Home Theater, and DVD Player) which are hidden in a cabinet. Easy to set up. All work fine using the Terk range extender, but the remotes only work a max of 12 ft from the Terk box (which converts the IR signal to RFI and passes RFI signal to the other Terk box inside the cabinet), whereas the remotes work more than twice that if pointed directly at the A/V equipment. Thus, the Terk boxes will RFI signal each other from long distances (documentation says 120 feet), but will only pass IR signals 12 feet from remote to Terk Box and to A/V equipment from Terk box. I would like the IR range to work at least 20 feet, but can live wth 12 ft remote to Terk box range.

Very cost effective way to control satellite receiver from another room.

Does what it says: Increases the range of my InfraRed remotes using RF. I have my main speakers 30' away from my reciever, and this unit works as promised, goes through walls.
