In 1983, Sonance co-founders Geoff Spencer and Scott Struthers had a brainstorm of an idea. They took hi-fidelity box speakers and created a way to conceal them in a wall. This made the speakers less obtrusive and much more aesthetically pleasing, without sacrificing sonic quality....and thus, the in-wall speaker was born. Since that time, Sonance has been on the leading edge of Architectural Audio. From in-wall and in-ceiling home theater systems to whole-house or distributed audio, Sonance is leading the way with new technologies and innovations...

One reason Sonance is able to continue to lead the industry is our state-of-the-art facilities. Our research and development team uses the best equipment available to ensure sonic purity. Pictured at the right is our 11,000 cubic foot anechoic chamber that ensures our speakers have the smoothest on and off-axis frequency response. We also have two state-of-the-art listening rooms and two laboratories which allow us to ensure superior product performance against any competiton in the market. Sonance also has a dedicated SLA machine right on our premises which allows us to quickly make prototypes in house and guarantee superior design and build quality, so you can be sure that any Sonance product will stand the test of time.

HOME THEATER: With the popularity of DVD movies, Home Theater is also becoming quite popular, and Sonance in-wall or in-ceiling systems can guarantee the optimum performance while being aesthetically pleasing in your home. Our wide-range of home theater products suit even the most difficult applications in your home -- from THX-certified in-walls for THX performance, to Ellipse In-ceiling speakers for In-Ceiling Home Theater Applications, our products are guaranteed to deliver.

MULTI-ROOM AUDIO: At Sonance, we don't underestimate the power of music. Music makes the moment -- from the party you're having in your home or backyard, to just relaxing alone in your bedroom, music is an important part of our lives. Sonance Multi-Room (aka Distributed Audio) products allow you to enjoy music throughout your home without the clutter or inconvenience of multiple stereos. Multi-Room audio is a great way to make sure you can enjoy Mozart in the Kitchen while your kids are listening to Brittney Spears or Eminem in their bedrooms.
