Hooker Furniture 7050-75203-02 Americana Dining Table Round Pedestal with 22-Inch Leaf in Daisy
Americana is a celebration of our rural heritage that reflects the character, strength, and natural beauty of a simpler time. The Americana collection reimagines historical pieces and designs with a fresh take on finish, function, hardware, and forms. Offering bedroom, dining room, entertainment, accent and occasional items, each piece in the collection strikes a timeless balance between history and nature. Crafted with oak veneers, Americana features three core finishes – Daisy, Honey and Daisy – as well as assorted accent finishes with decorative artwork. Key design elements include parquet tabletops, two-tone finishes, architectural arched details, seeded glass and antique mirrors. Hardware includes classic bale-style and hand-hammered metal hardware, both in a muted brass tone finish.
Features
Finish
- Daisy finish on base and Honey finish on top. The Americana Daisy finish captures the essence of a well-loved heirloom, passed down through generations. The deep, dark tone over cathedral oak veneers add warmth, while the variations in color reveal the natural beauty of the wood beneath. The Americana Honey finish features a gentle, warm brown tone. The distressing hints at the passage of time, while the smooth surface invites you to run your fingers across it, connecting you with the generations who came before.
Construction
- Finish
Hooker Furniture utilizes a multiple-step finish process of up to 16 finish steps. This results in an unsurpassed clarity, depth and color richness and durability to our finishes. Through hand-craftsmanship such as rubbing and padding, our finishes feel as good as they look, with a smoothness that is delightful to the touch. - Frame
Hooker Furniture uses carefully chosen solid wood and select wood veneers over durable wood products in our furniture construction. Use of veneers enables more decorative looks unattainable with solid wood. Veneers are used over durable wood products such as medium density fiberboard (MDF) and particle board, made of renewable resources. MDF and particle board are used in quality furniture for areas that need to be stable, such as large surfaces. These durable wood products do not expand and contract with heat and cold and do not absorb moisture as much as solid wood, which results in stronger and longer-lasting furniture.
Care & Cleaning
Keeping Your Furniture Beautiful
- Quality wood furniture is a significant investment expected to last for generations. To maintain its beauty and help it last, wood furniture needs the right care. Hooker Furniture products are finished with two to three coats of lacquer for extra depth and long-lasting durability. The sheen, or gloss, of the finish ranges from high to low, depending on the piece or collection. The finish protects the wood and adds to its beauty. No finish is totally indestructible. But with regular care, the finish will last much longer, providing years of enjoyment to you.
To Protect And Care For Your Furniture, The Following Is Suggested
- Avoid placing your furniture in direct sunlight, as sunlight causes fading.
- Avoid extreme changes in temperature by arranging furniture away from radiators, heat and air vents and air conditioning units.
- Avoid placing plastic or rubber materials (lamp bases, notebooks, placemats, etc.) on your furniture, as certain plastics contain ingredients that may damage the finish.
- Periodically rotate accessories on furniture so they do not sit in the same spot all the time.
- Use pads, cloth or felt to protect the furniture surface from plastic, rubber, hot dishes, beverages, bookends, flowerpots and vases.
- Clean up spills immediately. Use a blotting rather than a wiping action. Water left over a long period of time will cause white spots in the finish. Alcohol, perfume, after-shave and medications can cause severe finish damage.
- Use a protective pad when writing with a ballpoint pen on the furniture surface.
- Lift and place objects rather than dragging them across the furniture surface.
- Avoid placing furniture directly under windows.
Cleaning And Polishing Your Furniture
- We recommend dusting frequently with a clean, soft, dry, lint-free cloth. Clean the surface by rubbing in the direction of the grain. We recommend polishing your furniture approximately every six months, using a clean, soft, lint-free cloth and rubbing the polish in the direction of the grain.
- Some of our products feature a high-gloss finish. These items require extra care to prevent dust and smudges from being overly apparent. Be especially careful to avoid scratching high gloss finishes by using a feather duster or very soft, clean cloths and wiping with minimal pressure.
Footnotes
- Some color variation in photos of our furniture finishes, leathers and fabrics is possible due to lighting and differing resolution quality on computer devices.
