Care Guide

• Rotate your mattress to maintain the comfort and extend the life of your mattress. Every few months, rotate your mattress 180 degrees from head to foot. This will help evenly distribute the comfort layers and help minimize body impressions.
• When transporting or storing your mattress, be sure to seal it with a heavy duty bag, to help protect it from moisture, dust, scuffs and scratches. Be sure to lay it flat – not on its side or folded.
• Take care when moving your mattress. The Aireloom mattress can be “flexed” to allow the mattress to fit through doorways, but do not fold, curl, or bend a mattress.
• Avoid sitting on the edge of your bed as it puts pressure on the edge and could damage the border.
• To prevent wear, don’t excessively bend or roll your mattress; do not jump or stand on your mattress.
• Make sure to always use a mattress protector in order to preserve your mattress for the long term. Using this simple layer of protection from the beginning will help keep dirt, dust, spills and bugs out of your bed.
• Clean your mattress regularly so that it always looks, feels and smells its best. At least twice a year, go over your mattress with a vacuum to get rid of dust, crumbs and dust mites. It’s not just good for the mattress – it can help reduce allergens as well.
• Changing your sheets regularly can add years to the lifespan of your mattress. Skin, hair, sweat and oils are all released when we sleep, and then trapped in our sheets. Washing your sheets regularly will help reduce the damage and premature aging this residue can cause.
• Make sure your mattress is properly supported. When investing in a new mattress, make sure to replace your existing foundation to help preserve the integrity of the materials and prevent early wear.
• An adequately sturdy frame is also very important for your new mattress. Don’t use a worn-out base that can’t maintain the proper shape and support your mattress, as this can shorten the life of your bed.
• Sunlight is a natural cleanser and dehumidifier. Opening the window and stripping the linens of not only helps to reduce the number of dust mites but also helps to dry out any moisture that may be lingering inside the mattress.
