Features
- #1 Moka Pot Collection in North America
The MILANO from GROSCHE is a classic Italian style stovetop espresso maker, also called a moka pot, that’s designed for today’s coffee lover. It is one of the top selling, best moka pot collections in North America with over 20,000 online reviews and a 4.5/5 star rating! Moka pots offer a cost-effective option for enjoying espresso-like coffee or creating lattes, cappuccinos, and espresso martinis in the comfort of your own home. The MILANO Aluminum Stovetop Espresso Makers are non-electric moka coffee makers. They’re made of food-safe, quality aluminum and are designed to brew on all stove top types except induction. These coffee makers are perfect for anyone who loves the taste of a strong shot or double shot of espresso. Compared to filter coffee makers and drip coffee makers, this brewing method extracts more caffeine and flavour. This gives stovetop espresso a stronger and richer brew than a percolator. - Compatible on Majority of Stovetop Types
The MILANO Moka Pot is made with food-safe aluminum and a non-toxic silicone gasket seal. You can use it on gas stoves, glass, proprane and electric stovetops. You can even brew rich coffee with a moka pot over a low flame fire. However, aluminum moka pots are not suitable for induction stoves. - MILANO Features
- Soft Touch Handle
The handle of the MILANO Moka Coffee Maker is soft to touch & features a burn guard to protect your finger from accidentally touching a hot pot. - Food Safe Aluminum
The MILANO Moka Pot Coffee Maker is high polished for a stunning sheen. The threads that connect the top and bottom are also made for a tight seal and long life. - Italian Safety Valve
Each pot is a pressure vessel and should be handled with care. That’s why we only use Italian Safety relief valves to prevent pressure buildup.

- How to Make Stovetop Espresso Coffee
- 1. Firstly remove the top part and the filter funnel of the coffee maker. Fill the bottom chamber with cold fresh water until right below the safety valve. Make sure not to fill past the safety valve.
- 2. Then fill the filter funnel with freshly ground espresso coffee. Once that’s done, put the filter funnel back into the lower chamber of the MILANO and screw the upper chamber back on tightly. We recommend the Smooth silver espresso as our favorite coffee for the MILANO making Italian style moka coffee.
- 3. Next, put the MILANO on your stove on a low/medium flame setting. Turn the stove down when coffee bubbles up from the filter funnel and into the upper section. When the gurgling sound stops, this indicates that the coffee is ready.
- 4. Finally, remove the MILANO from your stovetop and serve. You can drink the coffee as a strong, flavorful espresso or use as a base for a cappuccino or latte.
- Information on Moka Pot Sizes
The MILANO Stovetop Espresso Maker comes in five sizes. It ranges from a single 1 espresso shot/cup for a single serving of coffee, all the way to 12 espresso shots/cups for hosting family and friends. Each “cup” of coffee made with the MILANO is equal to one shot of espresso. - What is Italian Moka Coffee?
Their love of coffee is something that Italians are known for. In Italy, the most popular way of brewing coffee is in a Italian stovetop espresso maker or moka pot. While espresso that is purchased in a cafe here is often made in a high pressure machine that runs at around 15 bars of pressure, stovetop espresso makers work with low pressure. Italian coffee is known for being an espresso like coffee that is strong and rich with flavour. - How to Care for your Moka Pot
They say the older these pots are, the better they work. They can last a lifetime with proper care. Always hand wash them, and never put them in the dishwasher. The MILANO stovetop coffee maker is not dishwasher safe. In a dishwasher the aluminum will tarnish and turn black, ruining your moka pot. Every 3-6 months or so you should consider changing the silicone seal that is in the pots and the one that maintains pressure in the boiler section to brew the fine ground coffee. - The Best Coffee Maker for Camping
This stovetop espresso maker is perfect for travel and camping. The brewing process is easily adaptable to different environments so you are not limited to your kitchen’s stove for a delicious cup of coffee. You can put it on a camping stove or over top of a camp fire and brew a delicious cup of moka coffee. Simply rinse out to clean and you’re all set. For the cottage or the campsite, this is a wonderful way to brew. When brewing over a fire, make sure the fire is low and the flames do not come up above the moka pot. For the best camping coffee experience, we recommend pairing the MILANO with a manual coffee grinder like the GROSCHE BREMEN for fresh coffee grounds.
