Hooker 7228-80278-80 Commerce & Market 42-Inch Round Chit Chat Table in Buckboard
The Hooker 7228-80278-80 Commerce & Market Chit Chat Table is a casual round coffee and cocktail table crafted from oak solids and oak veneers with a streamlined pedestal base and a light Buckboard finish inspired by sun-faded oak. Slightly taller than a traditional coffee table, it creates an elevated gathering surface for conversation, shared drinks and everyday activities without the formality of a dining table. Its round profile leaves room to pull up chairs, while softly weathered coloration highlights the wood character and helps the design settle easily into living areas or an inviting foyer seating moment.
Key Features
Elevated Chat Table Function
Sitting slightly higher than a traditional coffee table, this design creates a relaxed surface for pulling up a chair, sharing a drink or settling into conversation. Its flexible height supports casual entertaining and everyday activities in living areas, and it can also turn a foyer into a welcoming seating moment.
42-Inch Round Top and Pedestal Base
The generous circular top provides space for people to gather without a formal dining-table feel. A single streamlined pedestal keeps the silhouette clean and leaves the perimeter open for seating around the table.
Buckboard Light Wood Finish
Buckboard draws on the quiet warmth of sun-faded oak, using softly weathered coloration to reveal the wood's character while keeping the overall look light and versatile. The relaxed tone is designed to work across a variety of interiors.
Oak Solids and Oak Veneers
Oak solids and oak veneers give the table its warm, familiar wood presence. Hooker uses select veneers to create decorative looks while placing them over durable wood products where added stability is needed.
Up to 16-Step Finish Process
Hooker's multiple-step finishing process can include up to 16 stages, with hand-applied techniques such as rubbing and padding. The process is intended to build clarity, depth, rich color and durability while leaving the surface smooth to the touch.
Commerce & Market Casual Design
Developed with interior designers and a younger design sensibility in mind, Commerce & Market pairs modern, updated forms with flexible applications. This Chit Chat Table reflects that approach through its easygoing shape, practical gathering function and light wood character.
