Equipment:
- Air fryer (We use the Breville Smart Oven Air Fryer)
Ingredients:
- Flour, enough to dust your work surface
- 1 package (17.3 oz) of frozen puff pastry, thawed
- ⅓ cup marinara sauce
- ¾ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Pizza toppings of your choice
- 1 large egg, whisked
- 1 tbsp water
- Grated parmesan cheese
- Mix egg with water in a bowl, set aside.
- Preheat the Breville Smart Oven Air Fryer (or other air fryer) to 325°F on the “AIR FRY” setting.
- Unfold the sheets of puff pastry and cut each sheet into six rectangles.
- Add a portion of the sauce to the center of one side of each rectangle then top with mozzarella cheese and your preferred pizza toppings.
- Fold the pastry over and use a fork to seal the edges shut. Cut a slit in the top of each pizza pocket.
- Brush the tops with the egg wash then sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
- Arrange the pizza pockets in the air fryer basket. Air-fry until golden brown and puffed, about 12 minutes, then serve. Serve alongside extra marinara for dipping if preferred.
