How to Replace the Water Filter in Your Freestanding Thermador Refrigerator

Make sure you replace your filter every six months, or when your refrigerator prompts you to. If you're having a hard time discovering which filter is right for you, use our Water Filter Finder. With Thermador refrigerators, you'll find the filter location in the top right corner. Once you've opened your new filter, remove the plastic wrap and/or cover. Then remove the cover in your appliance and start sliding it out. Then, turn your old filter counter-clockwise and remove. Next, push your new filter in and turn clockwise, ensuring that it's firmly inserted, replacing the cover after. On the control panel, press and hold "Change Filter" for 3 seconds. Dispose of any ice cubes made within the first 24 hours of installation. Run the water dispenser for 5 minutes and discard water. This flushes the system.
