In this video, you'll see the Bose T4S ToneMatch audio mixer get unboxed and set up for sound recording. The Bose T4S is an ultra-compact four-channel interface that's engineered to offer studio-quality effects, dynamics and EQ. When you first open the product, you'll find the mixer, the ToneMatch cable and the owner's guide that contains important safety information. To remove the magnetized protective cover from the mixer, all you have to do is push it up from the front and lift it off. To begin using the audio accessory, you first have to connect your output source, either digitally or analog.
A digital connection is only possible with the Bose L1 Series portable line array system. First, make sure that your Bose T4S and your L1 system are powered off with the volume set to zero. Then, plug one end of the ToneMatch cable into the T4S power port and the other end into the L1 power stand. You can then power on both your L1 system and the mixer and begin recording. Analog connections, on the other hand, require the ToneMatch power supply and instead use a ¼" cable. Once all connections are made and you're ready to record, you can adjust controls for phantom power, input sensitivity and volume directly on the mixer.
