Huupe 900-00018 ARENA Basketball Hoop Shot-Tracking Upgrade Kit
Turn an existing basketball hoop into a connected training experience with the Huupe ARENA Upgrade Kit 900-00018. Designed as a one-time addition to a compatible transparent backboard, the system brings smart performance technology to the court without requiring a complete hoop replacement.1 Once installed, it is ready whenever players want to shoot, train or compete. That makes it a versatile development tool for home players and families as well as teams, coaches and training facilities, from beginners learning the game to serious athletes refining their skills.
At the center of the experience, the Smart Sensor Hub records makes, misses, shooting location, percentages, rim impact, shot angle, trajectory and performance trends. Interactive shot charts and session data help players move beyond a simple final score to see how their shooting develops over time. Available AI-powered analysis brings shot information together with pose and form data, helping identify recurring miss patterns and suggest focused adjustments. Players can review results live or after a session in the Huupe mobile app, making every trip to the court an opportunity to understand performance and build a more intentional practice routine.
Selected configurations can add ARENA-grade LED perimeter lighting for immediate visual responses to makes, misses, swishes and shot quality, along with scorekeeping and clock functions.2 Built for indoor and outdoor play, the system is described as IP65 rated so training does not have to stay inside.3 Bluetooth links the hub directly to a phone, with no home Wi-Fi required; the phone can use cellular data for syncing and online play. From the app, users can choose games, follow workouts, join communities, add friends and enter real-time challenges from different locations. Basic shooting statistics, core gameplay, lighting controls and selected workouts and challenges are available without a paid subscription, while Huupe+ opens access to advanced analytics, AI coaching and additional content.4
Key Features
Stats the Pros Track
Go deeper into each session with Field Goal Percentage, 3-Point Percentage, Free Throw Percentage, makes and attempts, total field goals and swish ratio. Interactive shot and rim-impact charts reveal where attempts originate and how the ball meets the rim, while angle and trajectory data add another layer to performance review.
AI-Powered Shot-Form Analysis
With applicable Huupe+ features, analysis connects repeatable outcomes to movement at release. Short misses can prompt a closer look at knee bend, left or right misses can focus attention on guide-hand and elbow position, and inconsistent results can point toward balance and release control.
The Huupe App Is the Control Center
Use the mobile app to select games, check progress, manage compatible lighting, start workouts and connect with friends or communities. A direct Bluetooth connection handles communication with the hub, while a phone's cellular service can support online features when court-side Wi-Fi is unavailable.
Training, Challenges and Competition
Solo workouts, multiplayer shooting games, skill-development programs and team training give players different ways to work. Prize Challenges, PRO Challenges, skill-level competitions and leaderboards add goals beyond the next basket, including live play with Huupe users in other locations.
Install Once, Play Whenever
The DIY mounting system uses a universal bracket and clamp, lighting tracks where applicable, adhesive, cable-routing hardware and a waterproof power connection. A rubber adapter supports compatible backboards without a traditional rectangular frame. Huupe estimates approximately 10-20 minutes for assembly and recommends two installers.5

5 The 10-20 minute estimate and two-person recommendation come from the product FAQ.
An extension cord is not included. Use an outdoor-rated extension cord and enclose its connection to the main power cable in the weatherproof pouch.
Set bracket depth on the ground before climbing a ladder. Lower an adjustable hoop to the lowest practical position before mounting, and do not overtighten the bracket.
