Weber Flavorizer Bars - Stainless Steel (Fits Most Genesis 300 Series)

After many seasons of cooking burgers and searings steaks, your Weber grill might need a part or two replaced. Instead of getting rid of the whole barbecue and buying a new one, consider rolling up your sleeves and installing some of the more replaceable parts. Designed to fit most of the Weber 300 Genesis series, these Flavorizer bars are integral to your gas barbecue's functionality. You might be wondering what these parts do and if you even need to replace them. They are subtle but necessary support characters that you may have never noticed before. Weber Flavorizer bars sit below the grates on most of the liquid propane and natural gas grills these grill makers produce. These wavy rods perform multiple functions, from boosting flavor to decreasing flare-ups and sending fats to the drip tray. Learn more about these parts and why they're worth replacing if yours are starting to show signs of age and corrosion.

Everything a Weber Flavorizer Does

As food cooks on the grill, marinades, fats, and juices fall below the grates. These Weber Flavorizer bars heat up and catch the falling fats, sizzling and vaporizing them on contact. That smoky taste floats right back up to whatever you're cooking to add an extra layer of smokiness previously only found when cooking on a charcoal grill. Other drippings are filtered down to the drip tray, helping to neutralize any possibility of flare-ups that could wreck your dinner (or damage the griller). With burners running hot beneath them and foods sizzling above them, Weber Flavorizer bars are bombarded on both sides. That's one reason why they do need to be replaced at times—but the effort is worth the result. To help extend the life of these integral parts, make sure you're performing regular maintenance on your barbecue with a grill brush on your grates. Additionally, after the grill has cooled off you can use a plastic scraper or grill brush to help remove drippings and keep corrosion at bay. This stainless steel version fits most of the Genesis 300 models.
