Developed with dental experts for high-performance cleaning and oral hygiene support, it is the only toothbrush with a camera powered by Gap Optical Targeting.¹ The system detects interdental gaps and directs liquid between teeth as you brush, helping prevent plaque from building up. In clinical testing, this approach was more effective at improving gum health by removing and preventing plaque buildup than a manual toothbrush.²

Camera-led intelligence gives each clean a precise focus, identifying the tight, hidden spaces where plaque can collect and targeting them with a pressurized Conical jet. The jet works with a diaphragm pump and Anti-gravity tank to deliver liquid quickly and support effective flossing from different brushing angles, while remaining gentle on gums and enamel. Along the gumline, a precisely contoured dual-bristle brush head provides gentle cleaning and lifts surface stains for whiter teeth.³ Dyson's variable sonic oscillation keeps the bristles moving instead of stalling, removing up to 69% more plaque than market-leading premium electric toothbrushes in hard-to-reach areas.⁴

A 1mm intraoral camera with a 100k pixel macro lens analyzes 28 images each second through Dyson's AI machine-learning algorithm. A dome-shaped target lens expands the field of view, and stroboscopic illumination helps the system maintain the camera visibility needed to locate gaps accurately.

Conical Jet for Precision-Flossing

To study plaque removal, Dyson developed a proprietary lab-based proxy plaque with the National University of Singapore's Faculty of Dentistry. While a needle-shaped stream merely punctured this material, the Conical jet swept it away and was designed to be gentler on gums and enamel.⁶

The pump can send up to 0.15ml of liquid toward a selected gap in as fast as one-tenth of a second. Its expanding diaphragm also limits air pockets in the tank, helping the jet perform when the handle is held at different angles.
