ASUS M705ROGFALCHION ROG Falchion Ace 75 HE 75% Wired Hall Effect Gaming Keyboard in Black

Swift and combat ready, the ASUS ROG Falchion Ace 75 HE M705ROGFALCHION is a space-conscious wired analog gaming keyboard designed for competitive and hardcore gamers. Its roomier 75% layout brings a feature-rich typing experience to desks where mousing room matters, while the black finish, ROG Doubleshot PBT keycaps and ROG styling suit a PC gaming battlestation. This configuration pairs hot-swappable ROG HFX V2X magnetic switches with the ROG Hall Sensor, giving esports and FPS players smooth travel, tight magnetic control and the precision to tailor each press.

Actuation can be set anywhere from 0.1 to 3.5 mm and refined in 0.01 mm steps, so a light touch can trigger a fast in-game response or a deeper setting can support deliberate everyday typing. Rapid Trigger resets a switch as it moves upward instead of waiting for a traditional fixed reset point, helping players execute repeated inputs and fine movement more quickly. A dedicated toggle puts the function within immediate reach, while the sensitivity adjustment wheel switches between actuation-point and Rapid Trigger tuning without requiring software. A high-speed USB microcontroller raises the polling rate to 8000 Hz, refreshing input up to 8X faster than most gaming keyboards and reducing the theoretical report interval from 1 millisecond to 0.125 ms.1 Speed Tap mode adds another FPS-focused tool for responsive directional changes and counter-strafing.

The compact frame also makes room for convenient everyday control. A multi-function button and interactive touch panel manage volume, media playback, lighting effects and custom commands, with an LED light bar providing visual feedback above the function row. Inside, three PORON and three silicone dampening layers absorb vibration and pinging for a more cushioned, focused typing experience, while textured PBT keycaps resist wear over time. Browser-based Gear Link offers setting adjustments without a traditional utility installation, and onboard memory holds up to five profiles for moving tuned configurations between computers. Three tilt angles support a preferred typing position. For multi-rig setups, tournaments or travel, the custom-fit case protects the keyboard and accessories in transit, and the angled USB Type-C connector routes the cable away from the mousing hand.

Key Features

ROG HE Platform

Structural upgrades give the ROG HE socket platform a stable foundation for Hall Effect performance. Supported ROG HE keyboards can share compatible hot-swappable magnetic switches, providing flexibility for maintenance and future upgrades within the same socket.2

ROG HFX V2X Magnetic Switches and Hall Sensor

The exact HFX V2X configuration uses a 30 gf initial force, 45 gf total force and 3.5 mm travel distance. The new ROG Hall Sensor helps detect input accurately while reducing electrical noise and interference and expanding magnetic flux limits, supporting consistent low-friction operation across finely tuned actuation settings.

Rapid Trigger Toggle and Sensitivity Adjustment Wheel

The built-in toggle activates or deactivates Rapid Trigger instantly. Pressing the wheel changes its adjustment target between actuation point and Rapid Trigger sensitivity; rolling it then makes the selected setting more or less sensitive directly from the keyboard.3

Speed Tap Mode

In Speed Tap (SOCD) mode,4 the keyboard recognizes two opposing directional inputs, prioritizes the last one and releases the previous command automatically. An FPS character can change direction without stopping between A and D inputs, supporting immediate counter-strafing while the first key remains pressed.5 Check the rules of a game or event before using this mode in esports competition.6

Multi-Function Button and Touch Panel

Use the side controls to handle audio level, playback, keyboard lighting or personalized commands. As adjustments are made, the integrated light bar communicates changes in real time for quick visual confirmation.

Six-Layer Dampening Design

Three PORON layers work with three silicone layers to absorb the vibration generated by keystrokes. This internal acoustic treatment reduces echo and sharp pinging while adding a cushioned character to daily gaming and typing.

Easy Adjustments with Gear Link

Gear Link runs through a web browser, allowing keyboard settings to be fine-tuned without downloading and installing a separate application. Save as many as five profiles in onboard memory to keep preferred setups available when connecting to another computer.

Protection and Portability

The fitted carry case shields the keyboard against impact and scratches when moving between rigs or matches. It also provides room for included accessories such as the keycap puller, keeping essential gear together in transit.

Footnotes:

1 Polling rate is how often the keyboard reports to the computer. Actual end-to-end delay is also affected by switch travel and device processing, and results may vary with testing environment and methods.

2 Magnetic-switch operation depends on magnet position and Hall Sensor compatibility. There is no industry-wide standard, so not all central-magnet switches are compatible.

3 Rapid Trigger is enabled for the WASD keys only by default. Key coverage can be changed in Gear Link.

4 SOCD means Simultaneously Opposing Cardinal Directions.

5 Speed Tap is turned off by default. Press Fn + Caps simultaneously to activate it.

6 Speed Tap may be considered an unfair competitive advantage in some esports titles; users should respect the rules of their games.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes. The actuation point can be adjusted from 0.1 to 3.5 mm in precise 0.01 mm steps, allowing a light response for gaming or deeper actuation for typing accuracy. The adjustment wheel provides on-keyboard tuning for the actuation point and Rapid Trigger sensitivity.
  • Yes. The ROG HFX V2X magnetic switches are hot-swappable and use the ROG HE socket platform. They can be shared across supported ROG HE keyboards, but magnetic-switch operation depends on magnet position and Hall Sensor compatibility; not all central-magnet switches are compatible.
  • Rapid Trigger lets a switch reset instantly as it moves upward, supporting faster repeated inputs. It is enabled for the WASD keys by default, and its key coverage can be changed in Gear Link. Speed Tap prioritizes the last input when two opposing directional keys are pressed, enabling immediate direction changes for counter-strafing. Speed Tap is off by default and can be activated by pressing Fn + Caps; check game or esports rules before using it.
