B&W Bookshelf Speakers
Bowers and Wilkins speakers have been innovating the world of audio since the 1960s. Modern B&W bookshelf speakers keep the tradition alive, delivering exceptional audio quality from stylish designs. There's no one detail that sets these home speakers apart from the competition. Instead, a mix of materials and technologies work together to situate B&W products a head above the rest.
Bowers and Wilkins bookshelf speakers are outfitted with cones made from materials that were specially designed for premium performance. Most use Continuum cones for their midrange drivers. Their woven composite structure took 8 years to create. Although these cones are similar to Kevlar, the flexibility of the Continuum cones provides more control. This small difference allows Continuum cones to deliver a higher quality of sound.
Decoupled double dome tweeters are another innovation that sets Bowers and Wilkins bookshelf speakers apart. The double dome protects the tweeter from the midrange driver's vibrations. Other B&W bookshelf speakers trade the decoupled domes for Nautilus tube-loaded tweeters. This design produces precise highs by pulling unwanted sound away from the driver's rear.
