Hooker Furniture 7228-10017-85 Commerce and Market Secretariat Secretary Desk in Dark Natural Wood
The Hooker Furniture 7228-10017-85 Commerce and Market Secretariat secretary desk updates a retro, nostalgic silhouette with solid acacia, a dark natural wood finish and a folding work surface supported by two pullouts. Three drawers - one central drawer and two interior tray drawers - and two removable wood shelves provide storage for home-office writing essentials. A cable-management opening with a rotating wood grommet accommodates cord routing and closes when unused. Open the drop-front when it is time to write, then fold the work surface away when it is no longer needed.
Key Features
Folding Work Surface With Two Pullout Supports
On the Hooker Furniture 7228-10017-85, the secretary's drop-front becomes the writing surface rather than leaving a permanent desktop exposed. Two pullout supports hold that surface during use. This open-and-close arrangement lets the same piece serve as a writing desk and enclosed storage between tasks.
Three Drawers and Two Removable Shelves
The Hooker Furniture 7228-10017-85 separates storage between a central drawer and a pair of tray drawers behind the drop-front, giving writing supplies distinct places rather than a single compartment. Two interior wood shelves can be removed to change the storage arrangement, so the interior is not limited to one fixed shelf layout.
Cable Management With a Rotating Wood Grommet
The rotating wood grommet on the Hooker Furniture 7228-10017-85 lets you use the cable opening when cords need to pass through the desk, then cover it when cable routing is not needed. The wood cover keeps this practical home-office detail consistent with the secretary's wood construction.
Solid Acacia With Vintage-Inspired Details
The Hooker Furniture 7228-10017-85 brings the collection's updated vintage character into focus with clean acacia solids and a dark natural wood finish. Slim legs, wood stretchers and metal leg ferrules carry the nostalgic silhouette through to the base. A nitrocellulose lacquer top coat completes the finish, while four pre-installed levelers allow adjustment at the floor.
