This acclaimed Subwoofer strikes an outstanding balance in power handling, enclosure requirements and excursion to deliver excellent results in medium power applications. Several exclusive JL Audio technologies and proprietary assembly techniques are applied to the 10W3v3 to enhance linearity and reliability.

The 10W3v3-4 is best used with amplifier power in the 150W - 500W range and is optimized to operate in a compact 0.625 cu. ft. (17.7 l) sealed enclosure, or a 1.125 cu. ft. (31.9 l) ported enclosure.

• DMA Optimized Motor System
  DMA-optimized motor systems deliver highly consistent motor force over a long range of stroke and input power levels. This results in reduced distortion, enhanced detail resolution and superior dynamic balance, or more simply put, incredible bass!
• Vented Reinforcement Collar
  JL Audio’s patented Vented Reinforcement Collar (VRC™) improves the rigidity and stability of the cone/spider/voice coil junction and directs airflow over the voice coil windings for improved thermal performance.
• Insert Molded Suspension / Coil / Terminal Sub-Assembly (Patent Pending)
  Nickel-plated brass push terminals combine with strain relief features to ensure solid contact and lead-wire reliability. All new, hybrid-weave, progressive-roll flat spiders are preassembled, using a patent-pending process, onto a composite carrier to ensure optimum alignment of the suspension.
• Customizable Trim Ring (U.S. Patent #D480,709)
  This removable ring accepts optional grille mesh inserts directly and can be painted to match the installation theme.
• Elevated Frame-Cooling (U.S. Patent #6,219,431)
  The elevated frame design of the W3v3 delivers cool air through slots directly above the top-plate to the voice coil of the speaker. This not only enhances power handling, but also sound quality by minimizing dynamic parameter shifts and power compression.
• Floating Cone Attach Method (FCAM™) (U.S. Patent #6,501,844)
  JL Audio’s patented Floating Cone Attach Method (FCAM™) allows the cone and surround to be aligned independently of the spider/coil assembly, improving pistonic motion.
• Surround Stress-Relief (Patent Pending)
  One-piece nitrile-butylene rubber (NBR) surround and gasket design works in conjunction with a stress-relief feature molded onto the lower cone edge to improve reliability. Injection-molded, mica-filled polypropylene lower cone bodies with integral bracing features permit shallow cone profiles without compromising rigidity.
