JBL GRIP Wireless Portable Waterproof and Drop-Proof Speaker in Black - JBLGRIPBLKAM

Compact & Water-Resistant for Every Adventure

As the name suggests, the JBL Grip has a portable design that you can easily hold in your hand; it's about the size of a large drink can. The cylindrical body is comfortable to hold, and it can also fit in most car cup holders for on-the-go listening. JBL fans will recognize the woven fabric exterior seen on other speakers like the Flip 7; the attached loop offers another way to carry around your speaker, like clipping it to your bag with a carabiner. Most importantly, though, the JBL Grip is incredibly rugged. Its IP68 rating means it's basically entirely dustproof and incredibly water resistant, able to withstand prolonged periods of immersion in water. Its compact design and durable build make the Grip perfect for camping or poolside hangs. JBL also says it's drop-proof, so taking a tumble won't stop the music.

Perfect for Parties

In addition to being great for on the go, the JBL Grip is also the perfect party companion. It features Auracast™, which means you can either stereo pair two Grips, or connect your Grip to multiple JBL speakers with Auracast™. Whether you're already a JBL owner or your friend has a JBL speaker of their own, it's easy to pump up the volume. Despite the compact size, this speaker also offers that signature JBL Pro Sound with booming bass and clear highs. It also offers surprisingly long battery life, so it's great for dancing the night away. You'll get 12 hours of playback on a single charge, and if you optimize the speaker's performance with Playtime Boost, you'll increase that playback by another two hours.

2-in-1 Functionality

In addition to being a solid speaker, the JBL Grip offers another great function: its back panel lights up, so you can listen to music in your back yard at night or while camping. There are multiple light themes with different colors and brightness levels, so you can create the perfect mood no matter where you are or what you're listening to. We also picture it being used as a reading light, so you can enjoy soft music while you read with one convenient device.
