Earlier this year at CES 2024, Weber announced their newest outdoor grills, which are now hitting the floor at Abt. Whether you're shopping for liquid propane grills, gas grills or pellet grills, their latest releases are built to accommodate all kinds of BBQ enthusiasts. While the Weber Searwood series is completely fresh to their collection, the Weber Summit Smart is an updated version of their already popular Summit series. As Weber has been in the outdoor cooking game for over 70 years, any model you choose is bound to create something truly tasty. Keep reading to learn more about these recently launched grills and get ready to take your backyard picnics to the next level.
Invest in The Weber Searwood Grill Series
The Weber Searwood grill comes in two styles: the Searwood 600 and the Searwood 600 XL. They share the same capabilities and design. The only difference is the cooking space. The total cooking area of the Weber Searwood 600 measures 648 square inches, while the Weber Searwood 600 XL cooking area measures 972 square inches. Choosing between the two models ultimately depends on how much you want to grill at once, as well as how much storage space you have. Now, let's dive into what both grills have in common.
The Weber Searwood grills offer a temperature range from 180 to 600F. The Rapid React PID system has the power to heat up the grills in just 15 minutes or less. On top of this, the system maintains a consistent temperature in colder weather and recovers heat fairly quickly after opening the lid. These grills use DirectFlame cooking to brown, crisp and sear a variety of foods. With DirectFlame, you can enjoy the perfect bite every time you fire up your appliance.
With the Weber Searwood line, you can always expect golden results or deep sear marks. There's no sheet diffuser blocking the flame from performing at its very best. The grills also feature a full grate sear zone that provides even heating across a majority of the surface, so you can cook more at once. Want to keep the lid open while you cook? That's perfectly fine. Manual Mode will maintain steady fan speed and fuel so you can cook in the open air without losing heat.
The Weber Searwood appliances are pellet grills, meaning they burn aromatic wood pellets to cook, rather than charcoal or gas. Both Searwoods have a SmokeBoost setting, which offers a consistent temperature of 180F. This allows the smoke from the pellets to be fully absorbed into your food for intensified flavor. Each grill hopper has a 20-pound pellet capacity as well. No matter what you're serving up, the included meat probe will tell you when your poultry, pork or beef is cooked to perfection.
The Weber Searwood grills can be adjusted in two ways: from the intuitive digital controls on the appliance or from the Weber Connect app. Monitor the cooking process, get readiness alerts, see live cooking graphs and new recipes all from your smartphone. Once you sear your meal to your liking and it's ready to eat, cleaning these grills is easier than ever. The grease management system allows you to just pull out the tray and scrape excess ash and fat into the catch. The drip pan is disposable too, so replace it with a new one and you're prepared for your next BBQ. The Weber Searwood appliances are equipped with a side table for prep work and three tool hooks for all your favorite grilling accessories as well.
Or Choose A Weber Summit Smart Grill
The Weber Summit Smart grills come in two different finishes with two different fuel types:
- The Weber Summit Smart FS38X S Stainless Steel Natural Gas model
- The Weber Summit Smart FS38X S Stainless Steel Liquid Propane model
- The Weber Summit Smart FS38X E Black Natural Gas model
- The Weber Summit Smart FS38X E Black Liquid Propane model
Despite the four variations, each grill in this line shares the same capabilities, so we'll explore them now!
The Weber Summit Smart series offers a 681-square-inch primary cooking area. It also features five burners and a top-down infrared broiler. This broiler directs fiery heat onto your meat for even searing, creating the juiciest bite and a perfect caramelized crust. Want to achieve a richer taste with your cooking? These appliances also come with a smoker box that incorporates rich, smoky flavor into any food you throw on the grates. You can also take up different cooking styles with integrated features like the heavy-duty rotisserie.
If you want even more versatility, you can collect a variety of custom-fit grillware (must be purchased separately) to use on the Weber Crafted cooking frame kit. The Weber Summit Smart grills come with high-definition touchscreens and burner buttons,. Both make controlling the cooking process simple and straightforward. The touchscreen ignition lights the burners ultra-fast, while the burner buttons allow you to adjust the flames with just a tap.
The grills also utilize SmartControl technology. This lets you choose cooking methods, set precise temperatures and monitor cooking progress from either the touchscreen or your smartphone. It does this with the help of the included smart probes and the Weber Connect app. The app can also offer instructions, guided recipes, next-step alerts and show you where to place your food on the grates for optimal results. As far as prep work and grilling accessories go, these grills have two side tables and six tool hooks for all your needs.
