The Breville the Fresh & Furious® blender is equipped with a Breville Assist™ lid. There's also an inner measuring lid that allows users to add ingredients while the appliance is actively blending. When the time comes to clean both the container and the blades, the Breville the Fresh & Furious® blender has an Auto Clean function that can remove most ingredients with two cups of warm soapy water and a press of a button. The Vitamix E310 doesn't have a built-in cleaning function, but the same wash can be accomplished by adding a bit of dish soap and warm water and blending for 30-60 seconds. The last design aspect to consider is the blender's display screen (or lack thereof). The Breville the Fresh & Furious® blender features an LCD display that can count down for pre-programmed settings and count up for speed settings, while the Vitamix E310 does not have a screen at all. If we were to give each blender a single point for every design feature it has to offer, the final totals would technically be tied. While Auto Cleaning and an LCD display are nice features to have, the addition of leak prevention and a vented lid for hot ingredients in the Vitamix E310 feels more beneficial to the cooking process. The Breville the Fresh & Furious® blender comes with nine one-touch programs, pre-set controls that are designed to accommodate various meals. These programs include Smoothie, Green Smoothie and Ice Crush. The Vitamix E310 does not come with pre-programmed functions like these. Even so, the Vitamix model does come with a cookbook that offers several blender recipes for you to try. The Breville the Fresh & Furious® blender comes with 10 recipe cards for dips, popsicles, smoothies, marinades and more.

Another aspect to consider is each blender's compatibility with other accessories and attachments. The Vitamix E310 comes with a mini tamper. A tamper is a tool used to help push ingredients down into the body of the blender, which helps produce a smoother, more consistent mixture. The Vitamix blender is also compatible with all Vitamix branded 48- and 64-ounce containers (excluding models with Self-Detect technology) and the Vitamix personal cup adapter for those looking to take their smoothies to go. The Breville the Fresh & Furious® blender may not come with any extra attachments other than the basic blades, but it is compatible with the Breville Vac Q™. This device is a vacuum pump that's designed to improve the flavor, color and texture of your mixes. There is one extra feature that, out of the two models, you'll only find on the Vitamix E310: a radial cooling fan and a thermal protection system. The fan actively cools down the motor during operation, while the thermal protection system automatically turns off the appliance should it begin overheating. In the battle of special features, these blenders are neck and neck, but the Vitamix E310 ends up just a step above the Breville the Fresh & Furious® blender as it's compatible with more accessories and offers a fan and heat protection, where the Breville does not.

Our last comparison may be our shortest, but it's one of the biggest factors that contribute to customer purchases every single day: price. At the time of publication, the Breville the Fresh & Furious® blender is priced at $199.95, while the Vitamix E310 is priced at $379.95. Typically, when we compare similar products, they fall around the same price point. This is not the case for these two blenders. Upon reviewing our comparisons, you'll notice that the Vitamix stood above its competitor in most categories. Why?
