The TWICE 2011 Excellence In Retailing Awards

TWICE is pleased to announce the winners of its 2011 Excellence in Retailing Awards series.
The program was created eight years ago to recognize the industry's best-of-breed merchants in consumer electronics and major appliance retailing.
The winners are selected by the editors of TWICE, with one award given for each of five distribution channels and/or business models. Those classifications are:
- Best National Retailer
- Best CE/Appliance Dealer
- Best A/V Specialty Dealer
- Best Consumer Direct Dealer
- Best Vendor Dealer
In addition, a fifth category, Best Retail Executive, was recently added to honor one individual for his creativity, vision, passion and leadership.
For retail businesses, the selection process and final determination were based on the following criteria:
- Merchandising excellence
- Store or website design
- Customer service
- Market share
- Industry contributions
- Retail innovation
- Performance during the trailing 12 months, ended Sept. 30, 2011.
Given the continuing macroeconomic headwinds of the past three years, financial results were weighed against the manner in which dealers responded to the weak environment, including operational and marketing initiatives.
While the field of worthy candidates was formidable, the final decisions ultimately went to those merchants who engender the very best in consumer electronics and major appliances retailing.
The winners set the standard that all will be measured by, and that some may yet exceed for our next round of retail accolades in 2012.
