Audison AFBMW REAMP 3 AF bit Plug and Play T-Harness for BMW RAM-Module Systems
The Audison AFBMW REAMP 3 Plug&Play T-Harness gives BMW audio-system installers and owners a vehicle-specific path for adding an Audison AF bit amplifier to vehicles equipped with RAM modules. It is designed for BMW "Hi-Fi" 676 sound systems and can also be used with BMW 688 systems, where it delivers seven of the nine channels required.1
Rather than requiring a generic interface, the harness transfers all seven speaker-level outputs from the factory RAM module to the AF amplifier inputs. It also supplies speaker leads for the front and rear positions, underseat woofers and center channel. That combination lets the amplifier be configured around the supported factory speaker locations and the goals of the installation.
Built around the Audison AF bit platform and compatible BMW RAM architecture, AFBMW REAMP 3 brings signal routing and speaker connections together in one application-specific harness. It is intended for a properly matched 676 or 688 installation; other products may require modifications and additional connections to the vehicle. Active Sound "artificial exhaust note" defeat is handled separately through vehicle coding because this harness is not compatible with AP BMW ASD BYPASS.2
Key Features
Compatibility With RAM Module-Equipped 676 HiFi Audio Package
The 676 system uses 2 ohm woofers, so bridged amplifier operation requires a different woofer and wiring plan.3
Confirm Proper Application
Connector shape alone cannot identify the correct re-amplification harness; match the part to the vehicle and system before installation.4
Features
- Plug&Play AF Bit Integration
Creates a vehicle-specific connection path between compatible BMW RAM audio systems and an Audison AF bit amplifier. - Seven-Channel Signal Routing
Carries the RAM module's seven speaker-level channels to the amplifier inputs. - Multi-Location Speaker Leads
Provides wiring for front, rear, underseat woofer and center speaker positions. - Application-Specific Pinout
Uses a dedicated pinout that must not be substituted with similar-connector ReAMP harnesses. - Bridged-Channel Planning
Requires attention to the 676 system's 2 ohm OEM woofers before channels are bridged.
Footnotes:
1 BMW 688 systems require nine channels; AFBMW REAMP 3 delivers seven.
2 AFBMW REAMP 3 is not compatible with AP BMW ASD BYPASS. Active Sound "artificial exhaust note" defeat requires vehicle coding.
3 BMW 676 HiFi systems use 2 ohm woofers. Do not bridge two channels into a 2 ohm load; protection shutdown or amplifier damage may result. For bridged operation, replace the OEM 2 ohm woofers with Audison APBMW S8-4.2 4 ohm woofers and confirm proper bridge wiring.
4 Audison APBMW ReAMP 1, APBMW ReAMP 2 and AFBMW REAMP 3 use identical connectors with different pinouts and are not interchangeable.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
It is compatible with BMW RAM module-equipped Hi-Fi 676 sound systems. It is also partly compatible with BMW 688 systems, but it delivers only 7 of the 9 required channels.
-
The harness routes all 7 speaker-level outputs from the factory RAM module to the inputs of a compatible Audison AF bit amplifier.
-
Speaker leads are provided for the front, rear, underseat woofer, and center locations, allowing the Audison AF bit amplifier to be configured as desired.
-
Do not bridge two channels into the OEM 2 ohm woofers used in 676 HiFi systems, as this may cause protection shutdown or amplifier damage. For bridged operation, Audison directs users to replace the OEM woofers with APBMW S8-4.2 4 ohm woofers and confirm proper bridge wiring.
-
No. It is not compatible with AP BMW ASD BYPASS. Defeating the Active Sound artificial exhaust note requires vehicle coding.
