  With its rugged utility loop, you can secure SoundLink Flex to almost anything. Attach the portable speaker’s loop to a carabiner and hang it from a beach chair, or secure it to a strap on your backpack on a hike. You can even use the utility loop to hold the speaker with your finger. Designed to resist twisting, the loop won’t spin or turn when it’s hanging.

  Rigorously tested to meet an IP67 rating, the SoundLink Flex is waterproof. Dunk it in water, and it’ll keep on playing. If it’s dirty, rinse it off with water. It even floats, so it won’t sink to the ocean floor if it falls off your paddleboard. The speaker is also protected against dust, so you don’t need to worry if it gets sandy at the beach. To ensure further protection from water, dust and debris, acoustic components, such as the transducer and passive radiators, which sit underneath the steel grille, were built with rugged, waterproof materials. These components are sealed tightly to the speaker’s housing, keeping out water and dust without disrupting your sound.
