The custom molded high-grade ABS templates are form-fitted to the left and right saddlebags, eliminating the need to create a cut pattern from scratch. Their integrated layouts provide traces for the speaker opening and guidelines for the HDPORT3 port cutout, helping establish the relationship between the woofer and port before drilling or cutting begins. Because the templates are reusable, they can support careful preparation beyond a single tracing session when kept intact.
Dedicated left- and right-side saddlebag brace templates extend that planning to the bag-brace mounting points. Alignment guides help locate the holes for the brace, while the main templates mount on the saddlebag exterior and line up with the existing saddlebag mounting holes during the tracing process. Together, these components create a coordinated guide for speaker, port and brace work on both sides. Mount the appropriate template on the saddlebag exterior, align it with the two saddlebag mounting holes, secure it with four coarse-thread drywall screws, and trace the woofer and port details before drilling and cutting. For the speaker-ring and port openings, cut slightly inside the marked line so material remains for sanding the opening smooth.
