    Kühl offers both electric and heat pump options. Heat Pumps
    provide energy-efficient heating by extracting heat from the outside
    air. They can be used for primary heating in moderate climates and
    as supplemental heating in colder climates. 230-volt models have
    backup electric heat that will activate when outside temperatures
    are too cold for efficient heat pump operation.
