Hooker Furniture 6123-80310-89 Archives Rectangle Cocktail Table in Classic Walnut

The Hooker Furniture 6123-80310-89 Archives Cocktail Table is a rectangular coffee table that showcases ash burl veneers beneath a high-clarity Classic Walnut finish. Part of the Archives collection, it combines expressive burl grain and rich walnut tones with gently rounded top edges, one fixed shelf, and traditional character reinterpreted for relaxed modern living. The open shelf gives art books, decorative objects, and favorite pieces a dedicated display layer, while the broad top supports serving, styling, and everyday gatherings. A multi-step finish process of up to 16 steps adds clarity, depth, color richness, durability, and a smooth feel.

Key Features

Expressive Ash Burl Veneers

Ash burl places natural wood character at the center of the design. Intricate grain patterns and variations bring warmth, movement, and individuality to the table, giving the familiar rectangular form a more distinctive presence.

High-Clarity Classic Walnut Finish

The rich Classic Walnut tone is designed to keep the burl pattern beautifully visible rather than masking it. Hooker Furniture uses a multiple-step process of up to 16 finish steps, including hand-rubbing and padding techniques, to develop clarity, depth, color richness, durability, and a smooth feel.

54 in Rectangular Silhouette

The generous rectangular surface provides ample room for serving, arranging decor, and supporting the everyday moments shared around a living room seating area. Its traditional influence is balanced by a relaxed sophistication suited to modern living.

Gently Rounded Top Edges

Softly rounded edges give the top a graceful transition instead of a sharply defined profile. This subtle shaping complements the flowing movement of the burl grain and lends the substantial surface a lighter visual character.

One Fixed Shelf for Open Storage

A shelf below the top creates a separate, accessible layer for art books, decorative objects, and favorite pieces. It adds practical storage while leaving room to personalize the table without crowding the main serving and display surface.

Wood and Veneer Furniture Construction

Hooker Furniture combines carefully chosen solid wood and select wood veneers over durable wood products in its furniture construction. Veneers support decorative looks that may be difficult to achieve with solid wood, while medium density fiberboard and particle board help large surfaces remain stable with less expansion, contraction, and moisture absorption than solid wood.

Care for the Wood Finish

Dust frequently with a clean, soft, dry, lint-free cloth, and clean the surface in the direction of the grain. Polish approximately every six months with a soft, lint-free cloth and a furniture polish that does not contain silicone, again working with the grain.
