Inspired by casual waterfront living with a chic sophistication, the Serenity Dresser is crafted of Wood and Raffia and finished in Sand Dollar, a white lacquered grasscloth. Chow-style legs and light champagne-colored decorative bar pulls add a designer touch. The six drawers have soft-close guides, and the top left drawer has a removable black felt liner. The top right drawer has a removable black felt liner and sliding/removable black felt jewelry tray and the bottom drawers are cedar lined.

Designed to create a comfortable and inviting retreat within the home, the Serenity collection is defined by its casual finishes and variety of organic textures and materials that combine to deliver a relaxed aesthetic. Inspired by casual, waterfront living, the collection was designed to bring the relaxed aura of the outside in -- no matter where the consumer lives. White oak veneer delivers two key finishes – a whitewashed look and a weathered gray – and is accented with shades of soft coastal blue, sand blasted pine and soft white bronze metal details. Organic materials including abaca rope, natural stone, painted grass cloth, louvered details, and faux coral motifs add to its casual style. The collection’s silhouettes were designed to reflect three distinct personalities – a traditional nature with serpentine shaped case pieces and a softer aesthetic, a modern persona with linear shapes and coral accents, as well as a more casual contemporary character with soft-edged case pieces and organic surfaces.

Through hand-craftsmanship such as rubbing and padding, our finishes feel as good as they look, with a smoothness that is delightful to the touch.
• Frame Construction: Hooker Furniture uses carefully chosen solid wood and select wood veneers over durable wood products in our furniture construction. Use of veneers enables more decorative looks unattainable with solid wood. Veneers are used over durable wood products such as medium density fiberboard (MDF) and particle board, made of renewable resources. MDF and particle board are used in quality furniture for areas that need to be stable, such as large surfaces. These durable wood products do not expand and contract with heat and cold and do not absorb moisture as much as solid wood, which results in stronger and longer-lasting furniture.
• Drawer Construction: Hooker Furniture offers full height, full depth and full width drawers for maximum storage capacity. All drawers have strong, time-tested English or French dovetail construction, for years of problem-free use. Plywood drawer bottoms are attached to plywood.

To Protect And Care For Your Furniture, We Suggest The Following:

• Avoid placing your furniture in direct sunlight, as sunlight causes fading.
• Avoid extreme changes in temperature by arranging furniture away from radiators, heat and air vents and air conditioning units.
• Avoid placing plastic or rubber materials (lamp bases, notebooks, placemats, etc.) on your furniture, as certain plastics contain ingredients that may damage the finish.
• Periodically rotate accessories on furniture so they do not sit in the same spot all the time.
• Use pads, cloth or felt to protect the furniture surface from plastic, rubber, hot dishes, beverages, bookends, flowerpots and vases.
• Clean up spills immediately. Use a blotting rather than a wiping action. Water left over a long period of time will cause white spots in the finish. Alcohol, perfume, after-shave and medications can cause severe finish damage.
• Use a protective pad when writing with a ballpoint pen on the furniture surface.
• Lift and place objects rather than dragging them across the furniture surface.
• Avoid placing furniture directly under windows.
