Do not use Le Creuset stoneware on a stovetop or another direct heat source, and do not place it in direct contact with a heating element.
For broiler use, keep at least 2 1/2 in between the dish rim and heating element. The maximum oven-safe temperature is 500 degrees F.
To avoid thermal shock, bring frozen food to room temperature before reheating. Do not place a frozen dish in a preheated oven; put it in a cold oven and allow the dish and oven to heat together. Always cool a hot dish before washing or exposing it to cool water.
Use oven mitts when lifting stoneware. Dishwasher cleaning is allowed, though hand washing is recommended. During prolonged microwave use, handles may become hot, especially when plastic wrap is used; cover only the open top and leave handles exposed.
