Leica 10692 SL3-P Full-Frame Mirrorless Camera with Vario-Elmarit-SL 24-70mm f/2.8 ASPH. Lens in Black
The Leica 10692 SL3-P Vario Kit pairs a 44 MP full-frame mirrorless camera with the Vario-Elmarit-SL 24-70mm f/2.8 ASPH. zoom lens for photography and filmmaking. Hybrid autofocus and continuous shooting up to 40 fps with AFc help capture decisive moments.1 Multishot delivers images up to 176 MP, while 8K open-gate video offers flexible framing and 5-axis in-body stabilization provides up to 5 stops of assistance for handheld work. From wide-angle landscapes to short-telephoto portraits, the lens maintains a constant f/2.8 maximum aperture so you can cover varied subjects without changing optics.
Key Features
44 MP Imaging and Up to 176 MP Multishot
A back-side illuminated full-frame sensor captures fine subject detail, subtle tonal transitions and color with up to 14 stops of dynamic range. Choose 44 MP or 26 MP for regular capture, then turn to Multishot for higher-resolution output when the subject and shooting technique permit. DNG raw and JPG options let you select the file format that fits your editing approach.
Hybrid Autofocus for Decisive Moments
Phase detection, contrast measurement and depth mapping work together to follow changing subjects, with 819 phase-detection points and recognition for people, animals and cars. Select tracking or adjustable field, spot and zone metering to match the subject. Continuous autofocus remains active during bursts, and modes up to 25 fps offer 14-bit capture when color depth is the priority.
5-Axis Stabilization and Intuitive Handling
Five-axis in-body stabilization helps steady handheld capture, while configurable controls put frequently used settings within reach. Color-separated photo and video interfaces make switching disciplines more intuitive. The tilting touch display and orientation-aware operation support changing shooting positions; a 5.76-million-dot electronic viewfinder offers another way to compose.
8K Open-Gate Video for Flexible Framing
Record a 3:2 open-gate frame to leave room for landscape or vertical framing in post-production, rather than committing to one delivery format at capture. Beyond open-gate recording, 8K/C8K, 6K and 4K modes provide additional resolution and frame-rate choices, including slow-motion options. This flexibility supports storytelling across different finished formats.
Production Formats and Exposure Tools
Select H.264, H.265 or internal Apple ProRes recording to suit your post-production workflow, or use HDMI RAW output with a compatible external recorder.2 L-Log and HLG provide color-workflow options, while preview LUTs and False Color help you judge color and exposure during shooting.
IP54 Camera Protection and L-Mount Flexibility
Made in Germany, the camera combines magnesium and aluminum with a synthetic leather cover and a discreet black exterior without the red Leica logo. IP54 protection on the body and dust- and splash-water sealing on the lens support durable field use.3 L-Mount accommodates compatible lenses as your creative needs expand, and CFexpress Type B and SD slots provide separate media options.
Connected Capture and Image Authenticity
Use Leica FOTOS for remote camera operation, file transfers, geotagging and firmware updates.4 Native Capture One and Lightroom Classic tethering connects shooting to studio workflows, while Frame.io camera-to-cloud supports collaboration during production. Content Credentials records image provenance and authorship information, adding authenticity details to the workflow from capture onward.
24-70mm f/2.8 Versatility and Close Focusing
A constant wide aperture supports reportage, events and filmmaking across the zoom range. The included standard zoom lens uses 19 elements in 15 groups, six aspherical surfaces and anomalous-dispersion glass to control color and spherical aberrations while preserving subject detail and contrast, including at wide apertures.
Its stepping motor moves a lightweight focusing element for responsive autofocus. Minimum focus distances of 0.18 m at 24mm and 0.38 m at 70mm make close-focus compositions part of the same single-lens workflow.

Footnotes:
1 The 40 fps burst rate uses the electronic shutter and 12-bit capture with continuous autofocus (AFc).
2 Recording duration depends on ambient temperature and available storage. Media requirements vary by codec and bitrate; some modes require CFexpress or an external SSD. External RAW recording requires a compatible Atomos Ninja TX series recorder. Memory cards, card reader, external SSD and external recorder are not included.
3 The camera's IP54 rating and the lens's dust and splash-water protection do not make the assembled kit waterproof or suitable for immersion.
4 Wireless functions require Leica FOTOS. GPS coordinates are supplied through the app, and GPS availability is subject to local legislation.
