Since the mid 1800’s when decorative plumbing was first introduced, Great Britain has played a significant role in the design, engineering and materials used to make faucets, fixtures and fittings for the kitchen and bath. Materials and know-how like the use of heavy Fireclay and solid brass casting made England an important influence. Today only a few British brassware and sanitary ware makers remain.
Named for Great Britain’s four successive King George’s, the style is appreciated for simplicity, proportion and balance. The classical symmetry of British Georgian architecture influenced the lines of the ROHL Perrin & Rowe Georgian Bath Faucet Series.
