- Cleaning the Mattress Cover
The covers on Stearns & Foster® mattresses are spot-clean only and are not water-resistant.
To prolong the life of your mattress and keep it clean, we recommend using a water-resistant mattress protector to protect against liquid damage. Vacuuming is the only recommended cleaning method, and it should be completed at least once a month to prevent dust and debris build-up on the surface of your mattress.
If your mattress is exposed to liquid or has a stain, please take the following steps to clean the area:- Use a dry cloth to absorb as much liquid as possible, pushing down into the material. Once you've removed the excess moisture, let the mattress air dry (you can use a fan to blow air directly on the mattress to expedite the process).
- To clean a stain, use a mild soap with cold or warm water and apply lightly, careful not to soak the mattress. Dry cleaning fluids may damage some of the inner materials. Afterward, let the affected area dry completely before applying any bedding.

- Box springs are not compatible with Stearns & Foster mattresses. They are designed to "give" in supporting a traditional mattress while Stearns & Foster mattresses require a solid base.
- We do not suggest placing your mattress on the floor. Doing so may trap moisture underneath the mattress, cause damage, or invalidate your warranty.

Use a solid, elevated surface such as a power base, flat foundation, or platform bed. A box spring and direct placement on the floor are not compatible. The base must be structurally capable of supporting the mattress and its users.

The mattress is designed to be rotated, but it should not be flipped. When moving or storing it, use 2-3 people, keep it horizontal with the top facing up, and avoid bending or vacuum-sealing it.

It is covered by a 10-Year Limited Warranty against defects caused by faulty workmanship or materials, subject to the manufacturer's terms and limitations. Coverage applies to the original purchaser of a new mattress bought from Sealy or an authorized retailer for personal consumer use, and proof of purchase may be required. Transportation and inspection costs may be the purchaser's responsibility.
