- The PRC 100 Solar collection features Tissot's Lightmaster Solar technology, based on photovoltaic cells discreetly integrated beneath the sapphire crystal. These nearly invisible, honeycomb-structured solar cells convert light into energy to power the quartz movement. Surplus energy is stored in a rechargeable accumulator, enabling up to 14 months of operation in complete darkness.
SuperLuminova
- Ensuring visibility under all conditions is an important goal for Tissot. This is why some timepieces feature a material we call SuperLuminova". This material is placed on visible parts such as dials and hands, where it functions as a miniature accumulator of reflected light when the watch finds itself in the dark.
