CES 2024: See What's New From Klipsch!

CES 2024 is almost over, but we're glad we got to talk to the fine folks at Klipsch Audio before we left. A mighty name in high-fidelity sound, the minds at Klipsch brought some fine innovations to the Consumer Electronics Show. Recently we've been impressed by their Authentix wireless home speakers collection, which had a vintage style but futuristic features. Let's see what they're showing off in 2024.

CES 2024 Klipsch Core 200 Bar

The brand's newest soundbar this year is Klipsch's Core 200 bar. Abt's own technologist Carl met with Derek at the Klipsch booth to hear more about this product, which will be available starting in March. Dual 2 1/4" drivers bring powerful sound, while a horn-loaded tweeter in the center brings out the high frequencies and powers them across the room. Up-firing Atmos drivers and a pair of subwoofers bring realistic surround sound and boosted bass. That's a lot of tech packed into a subwoofer, but Derek mentions that the Onkyo-powered performance is carrying this soundbar beyond expectations.
Users can connect one or two wireless subs for an upgrade in low-end audio and better beats, too. You can even connect surrounds for a true theater system. Do this all with help from Klipsch Connect, their compatible app. Carl agrees that the Core 200 soundbar is an amazing feat of engineering: the team got to hear a demo of it earlier and said it's absolutely worth its reasonable $449 price tag. Klipsch Flexus Sound System

Next up at CES 2024 is the Klipsch Flexus Sound System. This is another audio product powered by Onkyo for improved performance. With a fusion of Klipsch and Onkyo technology powering these speakers, the best sound possible is guaranteed. Derek shows Carl exactly how elegant the speakers and soundbars look. The Core 100 bar is a smaller version of the 200 above, and is part of the Flexus sound system. Other elements include the Sub 100 and Surround 100 speakers. With the Flexus system, it seems like it's all about flexibility with parts that are available a la carte. Expand the system as much as you want, or keep it to the minimum: your sound system all depends on your budget and space. The bar will ship in March just like the 200, with a $299 price.

Klipsch Portable Lineup With Broadcasting

Our last look at CES 2024's Klipsch booth brings their new portable lineup into focus. Here, we get to see portable speakers from this big-name audio brand in the flesh. Derek starts our team off with the Klipsch Austin speaker, and the brand has created an interesting exhibit: a staircase with these small portable speakers attached to different rungs. What's truly amazing is the Bluetooth+ button, which allows users to broadcast to different speakers all at once. With the ability to transmit sound to up to 20 units, it's a true audio upgrade. Derek also notes that they worked to keep latency to a minimum in the Austin, all so that audio sounds cohesive throughout a space. Users can broadcast between different models, too, like the Detroit, Nashville and other members of the Music City lineup.
The Music City series goes from pocket-sized to soundbar-sized, with features like different IP waterproof ratings, straps and powerful ascending battery life. To learn more about the individual speakers, make sure you watch our video. Each one is pretty impressive in its own right, but they all serve different purposes.
