CES 2025: At the LG Booth

transparent LG TV on a stand
We got a front-row look at the latest and greatest TV tech at the LG CES booth. Their second-generation LG Signature lineup includes an awesome transparent TV that offers more flexible placement in your home. It’s perfect for those who want to enjoy their shows without disrupting the aesthetics of their space.
LG unveiled their transparent TV tech last year, and we’re excited to see how the technology continues to evolve. CES 2025 marks the Signature OLED T’s global launch, making it the first transparent and true wireless 4K TV to hit the market. Despite the massive 77″ screen, the transparent technology maintains an open feeling in the room. Want to see this next-gen TV for yourself? Abt will have it on display in the coming weeks, making our store one of the few places to see it.
We also saw the new LG StanbyME 2, the newest iteration of the brand’s TV-meets-mobile-device. This futuristic display is designed to be portable, able to move with you to keep entertainment close by. Watch your favorite show while you do things around the house, or use the display to follow a recipe while you cook in the kitchen. It has a 4-hour battery life so you don’t have to worry about always being near an outlet, and the included stand on wheels makes it easy to move. The 27″ touchscreen display can be removed from stand as well for more flexible viewing.

A Gaming Monitor Unlike Any Other

LG’s booth didn’t just offer TV screens: we also got a look at their new 45GX990A 5K2K bendable gaming monitor, the first of its kind. It’s the latest addition to the UltraGear GX9 Series, powered by LG webOS. This 45-inch monitor is no gimmick: it’s won multiple awards at CES this year, including the coveted “Best of Innovation.” It transitions from a flat screen to a 900R curvature in seconds, creating a futuristic and flexible gaming setup. With tilt, height and swivel adjustments, LG has created the most personal gaming monitor yet.

LG’s Latest Concept: An Indoor Gardening Appliance?

But the LG CES booth wasn’t just about screens. We also checked out their newest innovation that the brand is calling an “indoor gardening appliance.” Combining an LED growing light with a modern floor lamp design, this product lets you grow herbs, leafy greens, flowers and even fruit indoors. It’s great for apartment dwellers or for serious gardeners that want to move plants inside during the winter. There’s another version of the gardening appliance that looks like a side table with a lamp. These are so cool, and we hope they’ll come to market someday.

So, why 3D Map View? Carl, one of our top technologists, went in-depth with Tim in the Samsung booth. “In traditional use cases, you’re just looking at all of your devices in a list…this brings a much more visual, interactive interface…you get a much more visual, interactive, easy-to-use interface.”
See more of Carl’s 3D Map View chat with Tim in the section above’s video.
Speaking of concepts, Carl also got to check out another LG innovation: the High-Up Wine Cellar. It doesn’t feature the racks or shelves you’d typically find in a wine refrigerator, which allows you to adjust the storage angle.
