CES 2026: The LG Signature WashCombo with AIDD2.0

The LG Signature 29" WashCombo with AIDD2.0 is taking home awards at CES 2026—namely, as a sought-after CES Innovation Awards Honoree. This two-in-one washer and dryer follows the brand's theme at the convention of minimizing the work you do at home to maximize your valued free time in the Zero Labor Home. Instead of setting aside time for "laundry day", this machine tackles a large load of laundry once, doing both the washing and the drying within its 5.8 cu.ft capacity. And while it can't fold your clothes yet, LG's concept robot CLOiD may be on its way there to assist. Let's dive into what sets this washer-dryer duo apart—and why we'd love to see it on our sales floor in 2026.

All-New Upgrades to the Signature Series Appliance

While a two-in-one washer dryer combo isn't the newest appliance to hit the CES floor, this model by LG is a true upgrade over the competition—and its own models from previous years. Some of the complaints users have had with laundry appliances like this include long drying times and potentially ineffective drying. But this ventless version is extremely efficient, with the ability to both wash and dry a load of laundry in just 90 minutes. That's at the same level of some speedier separate washers and dryers, so you may not be losing anything by choosing a two-in-one over two different appliances. That's why it's part of the higher-tier LG Signature appliance series—everything is leveled up, including the AI.

AI Sensors Program Cycles For You

With the upgraded LG Signature 29" WashCombo, everything is connected via AI—and we don't just mean via an app. The Signature Series model is designed around AI-powered wash cycles. The LCD dial display helps you choose between different loads, while the appliance itself has AI load detection and a scale that measures how much fabric is inside before starting the load. From there, the washer dryer combo uses its detergent and fabric dispensers to give each load just the right amount of soap and softener—never too much. That will likely end up saving you money in the long run.

A Ventless Design with Direct Drive 2.0

The last thing we'll touch on with the new LG Signature 29" WashCombo with AIDD2.0 is that DD, or Direct Drive inverter. The direct drive inverter helps drive that cycle time down. Combined with the improved heat pump on this washer dryer combo, the LG appliance is actually an energy saver compared to vented dryers. Between these two technologies and the new AI, it's clear to see why this all-in-one laundry appliance is taking home awards at CES 2026.

While some of the products out on the CES floor are only concepts, LG noted that they'll be releasing this appliance in 2026. And even if this product is one of the last we'll cover during CES 2026, there's lots more to see and talk about before the convention ends.
