But the performance of the climate-controlled steam closet extends beyond clothing, as it can sanitize smaller items that may not need a full wash cycle, like curtains and stuffed animals.
Like most brands these days, GE Profile is harnessing the power of AI to take the performance of their laundry appliances to new heights. That's why they've expanded the SmartHQ platform, the advanced app that's compatible with a variety of GE Profile appliances. At KBIS 2025, the brand shared that SmartHQ will be gaining new specialized AI assistants to help you tackle household chores. For clothing care, users can rely on the SmartHQ Laundry Assistant, which offers text or voice guidance on laundry-related subjects including how to handle delicates and how to eliminate stubborn stains. It also provides product guides and tips for appliance care and maintenance. On select laundry models, this assistant can even optimize wash settings automatically based on the specific needs of your load.
