Sonos Arc Ultra & Sub 4

Sonos is a brand that never stops innovating. When it comes to audio quality and, in the world of the smart home, smarter ways to listen, these engineers continue to push the boundaries of what the best audio can sound like. That's why they're releasing two new (if somewhat familiar) products: the Sonos Arc Ultra and Sub 4. The new soundbar and subwoofer expand upon classic favorites, the Sonos Arc soundbar and Sonos Sub 3, weaving new technology into audio gear that dominates in both the home theater and living room.

The Sonos Arc Ultra: Experience SoundMotion

The Sonos Arc Ultra soundbar improves on 2020's Sonos Arc, made popular by its immersive spatial audio and Dolby Atmos. And while they might look similar at first glance, the Arc Ultra goes further than ever before with the latest tech that's exclusive to Sonos: SoundMotion.
With SoundMotion, veteran soundbar owners will notice a lot more "oomph" than expected. That's thanks to the upgraded CPU and the unconventional woofers. The woofer's box-like design is flatter than you'd think, and brings more balanced clarity to every beat that lands. The innovations of SoundMotion don't stop there: the lightweight design and reinforced cones bring more bass to the Sonos Arc Ultra, all while downsizing on the classic woofers you'd find in any other soundbar.

What's Inside the Arc Ultra?

Take a look inside the Sonos Arc Ultra to get a better idea of just how far ahead of its predecessor this soundbar is. Within are clusters of tweeters, sound-directing waveguides and a total of 14 drivers (including some that fire off the ceiling and walls for a truly immersive experience). And with Dolby Atmos, the Sonos Arc Ultra delivers a full 9.1.4 channels of spatial audio. It's an enveloping experience, all crafted by one bar sitting below a television.
With SoundMotion & and Dolby Atmos together, everything onscreen feels alive. The Sonos Arc Ultra pushes sound at the walls, at the ceiling, and directly towards viewers. The result is audio that's fired throughout the room in specific spots. And with SoundMotion, the soundbar officially has its own internal subwoofer.
Thanks to the well-built construction, you'll have no problem hearing elements like full-bodied music and sound effects. But the Sonos Arc Ultra excels with dialogue as well. With a little bit of customization in the Sonos App, users can adjust Speech Enhancement to make dialogue easier to hear while letting other audio fade into the background. Tweak your entertainment experience until it's music to your ears.

New Controls

If you've seen 2020's Sonos Arc before, you'll notice one large difference visually: the new Sonos Arc Ultra has a sleek control bar at the back. Here, you'll be able to use touch controls to pause, play, turn the volume up or down and even group up with other Sonos speakers. It's intuitive, simple, and requires just a touch. But there are other ways to control the Arc Ultra like using your existing remote control.
One of the best ways to control your soundbar is with the Sonos app on your phone. Content and settings for all of your products live in one easy-to-use hub. It's also where you'll be setting up your soundbar as soon as you take it out of the box. And with an upgraded installation experience, all you have to do is plug it in, roll through the quick set-up process in the app and start listening or watching in moments.
Next, there's voice control. All you have to do is say "Hey Sonos" and the brand's privacy-protected Voice Control system comes to life. And if you already have a voice assistant in your home that you love, your Sonos Arc Ultra can easily connect to favorites like Amazon Alexa and Apple Siri.

A Similar Wall Mount

Where you place the Sonos Arc Ultra soundbar is up to you, but you've got great options thanks to the available wall mount. If you have a previous Arc wall mount, the newest version of the speaker will still fit your old wall mount no need for extra installation. But there is an upgraded one available. If you'd prefer to place yours atop an entertainment center, keep your dimensions in mind. The soundbar is over three feet long, so make sure that the entertainment center you rest it on is the proper size. If it's not, opt for the new Sonos Arc Ultra wall mount. It will look perfect on your wall beneath your television.

Upgrade With Subs, Speakers & Even Headphones

Hoping for an expansive cinematic sound system? Pair your soundbar with a separate Sonos Sub, as well as two Era 300 speakers. With acoustic audio coming from the rear left and right sides from the Era 300s, the Arc Ultra sending soundwaves throughout the room, and a dedicated subwoofer bringing low frequencies into focus, you'll have Dolby Atmos surround sound with true depth.
Adding extra speakers and subs to your Sonos Arc Ultra is just one way to upgrade your home theater experience for everyone who's listening. But sometimes, you want to be the only one to hear. Whether the kids are going to bed, your significant other is studying or you just don't want to bother everyone in the house, you shouldn't have to watch your favorite shows on mute. Instead, pair your new soundbar with the Sonos Ace headphones and transfer your audio straight to the Ace. Outside, there's no volume at all. When you slip these headphones on, you hear personalized surround sound and spatial audio with dynamic head tracking.

The Sonos Sub 4: A New Way To Experience Bass

The Sonos Sub 4 replaces the Sub 3 (launched in 2020), and veteran Sonos lovers will notice a similarity in structure and design. The Sub 4 is styled with a new matte look that's perfect for today's home or workspace, replacing the glossy finish of yesterday. And while the structure may look similar on the outside, there's a lot more that's new in this refresh.

Better Connectivity, Better Processing

Inside of the Sub 4 are the classic features that make this heart-pounding subwoofer so beloved, like dual drivers and a force-canceling design that keeps distortion away. But what's new is the upgraded processing power, memory, and Wi-Fi radios. With 6 GHz radio, this audio gear is ready to connect to multiple Sonos speakers and even other subwoofers without skipping a beat. It's made for the home theater configuration that you're looking for, whether you're pairing it with two Era 300s or the new Sonos Arc Ultra.
No matter what speakers you connect with the Sub 4, you'll be doing the same thing: feeding the lows that the Sonos speakers would usually have to produce themselves to the Sub 4. With that pressure gone, the speakers and soundbars can focus on pushing out higher-frequency sounds, all while the Sub 4 works to power out the best bass yet. It opens up your space to a whole new way to listen.

Connect Your Sub 4 & Create Your Home Theater

The next-gen Sonos Sub 4 is crafted for better connectivity: have fun building out your own home theater with new Sonos speakers and pairing them with the latest Sub. Pair your Sub 4 with a new Sonos Arc Ultra, Arc, or Beam, or the Era 300, Era 100, Ray or Five. And you don't need cords or wires: the Sub 4 connects via Wi-Fi, so you can place it wherever you want. Even move it from one spot to another depending on the occasion. We suggest pairing the latest Sub with the new Arc Ultra to experience the depth and breadth of sound that Sonos is now capable of. And for even more bass, add an extra subwoofer to your Arc Ultra: you can pair two, even if one of them is a Sub 3.
