The HEPASilent™ filtration used in many of their newer models improves on the concept of the classic HEPA filter. These High Efficiency Particulate Air filters usually function by trapping 99.97% of particulates 0.3 microns or smaller. Blueair's HEPASilent™ filtration system improves by working to capture particles even more microscopic. Anything 0.1 micron or larger can be trapped within.

Traditional mechanical filtration fuses with electrostatic technology in the HEPASilent™ system. Airborne particles are pulled in, then electrically charged by a next-gen ionizer. That electric charge makes any particulates more likely to become entrapped in the filter. That electrostatic charge and ease of filtration allows more particles to pass through quicker and quieter for near silent operation.
