iRobot N185220 Roomba Plus 505 Combo Robot Vacuum with AutoWash Dock in White

The iRobot Roomba Plus 505 Combo robot + AutoWash dock N185220 brings detailed vacuuming, active mopping and automated floor-care maintenance together for homes with hard floors, carpet, everyday clutter and pet-related debris. Built to tackle dry and wet messes in one coordinated system, it pairs a white robot and dock with refined textures and a modern profile designed to fit naturally with home furnishings. Whether the day calls for crumbs and pet hair, tracked-in grime or pawprints, this combination cleaner is ready to handle recurring messes while reducing hands-on bin and mop-pad care.

Cleaning goes beyond a simple vacuum-and-mop pass. The DualClean Mop Pad system improves coverage around room boundaries, delivering 18% more floor-mopping coverage than an unextended DualClean Mop Pad.1 For dried-on coffee and grime, SmartScrub adds repeated back-and-forth motion and downward pressure for 2x deeper scrubbing than standard vacuum-and-mop mode.2 On the vacuuming side, a flexible multi-surface rubber brush, edge-sweeping brush, Carpet Boost and four adjustable suction levels gather dirt from hard flooring and carpet. iRobot rates the system at 70x more suction than Roomba 600 Series robots.3

ClearView Pro LiDAR and PrecisionVision AI Technology give the robot the spatial awareness to plan its route and respond to common floor clutter, while cliff sensors help prevent falls on stairs. Advanced Dirt Detect Technology identifies larger wet and dry messes and directs added cleaning where it is needed. Automatic pad lifting supports movement between hard surfaces and carpet, and the Roomba Home app lets owners shape routines around individual rooms with schedules, cleaning preferences and recommendations informed by cleaning history.

At the AutoWash dock, routine maintenance becomes part of the cleaning system. The dock manages collected debris, refreshes and washes the mop pads, provides heated pad drying and circulates water through a self-cleaning cycle. iRobot states that it can support up to 75 days of auto-emptying and up to 4 weeks of mopping and pad washing.4 Together, app-directed cleaning and automated dock care help keep regular floor care moving with fewer interruptions.

Key Features

Cleaning With an Edge

Both DualClean Mop Pads rotate at 200 RPM, and PerfectEdge extends one pad outward to work closer to walls and into corners. This active design reaches boundary areas that a fixed pad can miss while the paired pads cover the main floor.

Intelligent Mapping and Navigation

LiDAR and camera-based object recognition work together to build maps and guide the robot around the home. PrecisionVision AI Technology recognizes cords, shoes, socks and pet waste,5 while the app automatically names mapped rooms. iRobot states that mapping can take 9 minutes for a 1,000 sq ft space.6

AutoWash Convenience

Pad maintenance continues throughout the job: the robot can return to the dock for washing as needed, then complete another wash when cleaning is finished. Selectable drying times in the app let heated drying run after the routine, and the dock's water circulation helps clean its washing system.

The Right Clean for Each Room

Choose vacuum only, mop only, simultaneous vacuuming and mopping, or vacuum first and then mop. Room and zone selection, four suction choices, repeat passes for high-traffic spaces, SmartScrub and scheduling provide control over how each area is handled, while the mops rise automatically when carpet is detected.
