Street To Be Named After Founders Of ABT Electronics
City of Chicago to dedicate block that housed Abt's original location to Jewel and David Abt

CHICAGO—MAY 25, 2005—Abt Electronics, a family-owned electronics vendor based in Glenview, IL, announced today that the City of Chicago will dedicate the corner of Wolfram and Milwaukee Avenue to the company's founders, Jewel and David Abt, in a ceremony on Wednesday, May 25th at 9:30 AM. The block will be re-named Jewel and David Abt Way, commemorating the location of Abt first retail facility, which opened in 1936.
"Abt Electronics has maintained a strong connection to the city of Chicago since the company was founded," said Bob Abt, Abt Electronic's CEO and son of the company's founders.
