In 1936 on the corner of Wolfram and Milwaukee Avenue in Chicago, David and Jewel Abt opened Abt Radio. Seventy five year later, Abt Electronics employs more than 1200 people on its huge and successful Glenview Campus.

Please accept my congratulations on what is truly an American success story. From its humble beginings in Chicago-the corner is now most appropriately dedicated to Jewel and David Abt-Abt Electronics now stands as one of the largest independent retailers in the United States.

A dedication to quality customer service remaines the backbone of this successful enterprise. But beyond pleasing customers, you have also dedicated your business to be a good steward of the community and the environment. Few retailer buisiness show the commitment to sustainability and evironmentally responsibility that Abt Electornics does.

Please accept my best wishes and share them with the entire Abt family for reaching this prestigious milestone. I have no doubt Abt Electronics will eventually mark 100 years with even more success.
