Dear Members of the Abt Family:

As Mayor and on behalf of the City of Chicago, I offer my congratulations to you as you celebrate your 75th Year in business.

Chicago is proud to be the home of Abt Electronics. Throuhout the years, Abt Electronics has demonstrated innovation and quality service in this industry. Today, the company has grown to more than 1200 employees. I commend Abt Electronics for its many accomplishments and thank you for the contributions you have made in our community.

I am sure that when Jewel and David Abt first opened Abt Radio, as your business was then called on Milwaukee Avenue in Chicago, they did not envision a business that would sustain itself, the family, and its many employees through these years. The continuing success of Abt is a testament to the values and education Jewel and David instilled in their family. It is truly impressive to see a family-owned and operated business with the quality of Abt successfully continue.
