Abt Electronics Makes April Fools' Day Its Own With Its Blast From the Past Prank

The largest independent, single-store appliance and electronics retailers in the country is making April Fools' its own, with some light hearted mischief that celebrates the exciting products it has carried over its 78 years in business.

Today only, customers that visit Abt.com, will be greeted by a new tab on the homepage, called the "Abt Legacy Collection", which features a variety of old-fashioned products "for sale" — such as a Hand-Powered Clothes Wringer and a Transistor Radio Phonograph Player — along with some entertaining item descriptions to supplement these blasts from the past.

When a customer goes to click on the link for more purchasing info, the gag is up! They will be taken to the Abt blog that declares, "Happy April Fools' Day from everyone at Abt Electronics!," along with a short explanation of the prank.
