In a softly rounded form, the Affinity Server combines a greige sand-blasted finish on Quartered Oak Veneers with cream and pewter bar pulls and flared legs. With two doors, there is one adjustable wood shelf behind each door. Five drawers. The top left drawer has drop-in felt silverware and the top right drawer has a drop-in felt liner. The bottom drawer is cedar lined. Soft, rounded forms combine with sand-blasted greige and antique white finishes to create an inviting transitional boutique collection in Affinity. The main finish for the 20-piece collection of bedroom, dining room, occasional, accents and home entertainment is a wire-brushed greige (gray/beige) on quartered white oak. Pewter and antique white hardware and soft linen fabrics add intrigue.

Construction

• Finish Construction: Hooker Furniture utilizes a multiple-step finish process of up to 16 finish steps. This results in an unsurpassed clarity, depth and color richness and durability to our finishes. Through hand-craftsmanship such as rubbing and padding, our finishes feel as good as they look, with a smoothness that is delightful to the touch.
• Frame Construction: Hooker Furniture uses carefully chosen solid wood and select wood veneers over durable wood products in our furniture construction. Use of veneers enables more decorative looks unattainable with solid wood. Veneers are used over durable wood products such as medium density fiberboard (MDF) and particle board, made of renewable resources. MDF and particle board are used in quality furniture for areas that need to be stable, such as large surfaces. These durable wood products do not expand and contract with heat and cold and do not absorb moisture as much as solid wood, which results in stronger and longer-lasting furniture.
• Drawer Construction: Hooker Furniture offers full height, full depth and full width drawers for maximum storage capacity. All drawers have strong, time-tested English or French dovetail construction, for years of problem-free use. Plywood drawer bottoms are attached to plywood drawer sides for strength and durability. Metal side guides or wood on wood guide systems operate smoothly.

Care & Cleaning

Some of our most unique styles are crafted with high-quality or specialty wood veneers over a solid or engineered wood substrate. Our veneers are hand selected to add movement to a piece while minimizing the risk of expansion and contraction found in some solid wood products.

• Address spills immediately by wiping with a dry, soft cloth.
• Use coasters, trivets, and placemats for protection against hot or wet items.
• Dust regularly with a soft, damp cloth, followed by a dry one.
• Spot clean as needed with a soft cloth and mild soap.
• Do not use furniture polish, ammonia-based cleaners, or other chemicals as they will leave a wax buildup and will change the appearance of the wood over time.
• Avoid using abrasive cleaners, chemical solvents, strong detergents, furniture polish and cleaners with bleach.
• Avoid lengthy exposure to direct sunlight (unless outdoor-specific items) as it may cause finish to change.
• Always lift and carry, do not drag when moving furniture.
