Earthy, exotic and elegant, the Commerce and Market Layers Credenza has a textured appeal with a layered pattern on the fronts of the four doors and a transparent finish that reveals natural variances in the wood grain. Crafted of Mango Wood with a gold metal base and antique brass finger pulls, the credenza has 2 fixed shelves behind each pair of doors and a ventilated back panel. Targeting the next generation of furniture buyers, Hooker Furniture unveils the Commerce & Market brand of accent and occasional pieces. Interior designers were front-of-mind when the Hooker Furniture team developed the dynamic palette and flexible applications of pieces within the new brand. The assortment of modern and updated designs presented within the brand include a dynamic variety of materials, styles and color palettes to inject a younger sensibility into the company’s portfolio. Commerce & Market consists of pieces for the living room including a variety of accent tables, credenzas, consoles, chests, cabinets, etageres and bar carts. Globally sourced with design inspiration from around the world, the curated designs feature an eclectic assortment of materials including cast metals, bone inlay, marble, stone, travertine, painted glass, acacia solids, pecan, oak, mango wood, and walnut veneers in a variety of rich finishes.

Finish

• Natural dark finish with gold metal base and antique brass finger pulls. Transparent finishes reveal a higher degree of color and grain variances, creating an irresistible one-of-a-kind silhouette.

Construction

• Finish Construction: Hooker Furniture utilizes a multiple-step finish process of up to 16 finish steps. This results in an unsurpassed clarity, depth and color richness and durability to our finishes. Through hand-craftsmanship such as rubbing and padding, our finishes feel as good as they look, with a smoothness that is delightful to the touch.
• Frame Construction: Hooker Furniture uses carefully chosen solid wood and select wood veneers over durable wood products in our furniture construction. Use of veneers enables more decorative looks unattainable with solid wood. Veneers are used over durable wood products such as medium density fiberboard (MDF) and particle board, made of renewable resources. MDF and particle board are used in quality furniture for areas that need to be stable, such as large surfaces. These durable wood products do not expand and contract with heat and cold and do not absorb moisture as much as solid wood, which results in stronger and longer-lasting furniture.

Care & Cleaning

Some of our most unique styles are crafted with high-quality or specialty wood veneers over a solid or engineered wood substrate. Our veneers are hand selected to add movement to a piece while minimizing the risk of expansion and contraction found in some solid wood products.

• Address spills immediately by wiping with a dry, soft cloth.
• Use coasters, trivets, and placemats for protection against hot or wet items.
• Dust regularly with a soft, damp cloth, followed by a dry one.
• Spot clean as needed with a soft cloth and mild soap.
• Do not use furniture polish, ammonia-based cleaners, or other chemicals as they will leave a wax buildup and will change the appearance of the wood over time.
• Avoid using abrasive cleaners, chemical solvents, strong detergents, furniture polish and cleaners with bleach.
• Avoid lengthy exposure to direct sunlight (unless outdoor-specific items) as it may cause finish to change.
• Always lift and carry, do not drag when moving furniture.
