REL Acoustics BASSLINE 3M 3 Meters Bassline Blue High-Level Subwoofer Cable
The REL Acoustics BASSLINE 3M Bassline Blue high-level subwoofer cable combines a proprietary filter board, optimized conductor geometry and 18-gauge solid-core copper construction. By taking its signal from your amplifier's speaker terminals, it shares the signal sent to your main speakers, helping preserve tone, timing and texture. Designed specifically for REL Acoustics input filter boards, it brings a purpose-built connection to music systems and home theaters. The emphasis is on a more integrated musical presentation, with spatial contrast and dynamic shading rather than bass alone or added brightness.
Key Features
High-Level Integration
The high-level connection is designed to make the subwoofer's contribution less conspicuous, blending the low end into the performance rather than drawing attention to a separate source of bass. It also offers existing owners, including users of older REL Acoustics subwoofers, a system-upgrade option.1
Purpose-Built Filtering and Conductor Geometry
Rather than treating the connection as a generic interconnect, the design accounts for the high-impedance termination at the subwoofer's input filter board. The proprietary filter board is intended to maintain signal integrity and deliver more defined bass, while the conductor layout supports natural, expressive low-frequency reproduction.
18-Gauge Solid-Core Copper Construction
Hand-built by a REL Acoustics employee, the cable uses grain-aligned, slowly drawn copper and silver-soldered terminations. The attention to conductor quality and assembly is aimed at reducing congestion and opening up the presentation, rather than creating an attention-grabbing tonal emphasis.
Sound Illuminated
The intended improvement reaches beyond bass notes to vocal clarity, instrumental separation and the spaces between notes. In orchestral and choral recordings, the design aims to make individual layers and subtle dynamic changes easier to follow, with a wider apparent soundstage and no additional brightness.

-
This is the standard cable, not the separate NAIM version. REL recommends a dedicated Special Edition for Audio Research, D'Agostino and CH Precision amplifiers; that edition's custom circuitry and fittings are not included here.
-
REL describes improved bass definition, vocal clarity, instrumental separation and dynamic detail, with a wider apparent soundstage rather than added brightness. These are subjective manufacturer listening claims, not independently measured performance guarantees.
-
After replacing the supplied cable, REL suggests raising the crossover by one or two clicks and increasing gain by one click, or two clicks at most.
-
The cable uses 18-gauge solid-core copper conductors and silver solder for assembly. REL describes the copper as grain-aligned and slowly drawn, and says the cable is hand-built by a REL employee.

REL's North America policy provides three years of parts and labor coverage for material and workmanship defects on new products and parts purchased from authorized dealers or rel.net in the United States or Canada. Coverage is nontransferable, and inbound freight is not covered. Authorized-dealer floor samples, demos, B-stock and show samples receive one year of coverage. Other policy exclusions apply.
