Co-created with professional hip-hop sound creators, its acoustic system combines a large circular woofer and updated ULT DUCT for powerful airflow with four tweeters and two midrange speakers for clear vocals and a fuller presentation. Front and rear drivers spread 360-degree Party Sound throughout the venue, while ULT1, ULT2, FLAT and LIVE modes let the speaker take on a deeper, punchier, more neutral or concert-like character. The illuminated signature ULT control makes it easy to switch modes and adjust volume from the front panel.

Beyond sheer output, the ULT TOWER 7 adapts to the way each event comes together. Sound Field Optimization accounts for placement near a wall or corner and for noisy outdoor surroundings, while Sony | Sound Connect provides a 10-band equalizer for more detailed personalization. RCA and balanced XLR connections welcome DJ equipment and support wired expansion, and Party Chain uses Auracast to synchronize music and lighting across up to 100 compatible Sony speakers.¹ Two ULT TOWER 7 speakers can also become dedicated left and right channels through Stereo Pair. Add karaoke support and centralized app control, and the system is ready to move from casual listening to sing-alongs and larger multi-speaker celebrations.

A rechargeable battery provides up to 30 hours of operation under Sony's stated test conditions,² and a 10-minute charge can deliver up to 180 minutes of playback. Battery Care helps reduce overcharging, while the STAMINA option can extend operation by changing settings and disabling lighting and sound effects. Four integrated handles and upgraded rear wheels make the tower easier to relocate, and IPX4 splash resistance supports indoor and outdoor gatherings when the speaker is vertical and every port and cover is firmly closed.³ Automatic tuning adjusts for upright or horizontal use, and three preset lighting modes help shape the room's atmosphere. Bluetooth, USB Type-C audio, USB Type-A drive playback, XLR and RCA inputs accommodate a wide range of sources, while both USB ports can supply power to connected devices.
