This ducted wall mount range hood separates 99% of grease through centrifugal filtration without conventional mesh or baffle filters, while its high-speed sound rating is 6.3 sones, approximately 57 dB². A SensaSource heat sensor adjusts the two-speed blower as cooking temperatures rise, and four dual-level LED lights support task or ambient illumination.

Clean curves and a slim base give the Vent-A-Hood JDH354/C1 SS a sculptural wall-mounted presence while preserving a large open capture canopy. The Stainless Steel finish complements a premium kitchen plan, and a matching duct cover can be ordered separately to extend the design toward the ceiling.

Magic Lung Centrifugal Filtration

The open canopy captures smoke, heat, odors and grease at the cooking surface. Centrifugal force then spins grease out of the airstream before it enters the duct, helping limit duct buildup and the potential for flame spread.

Quiet 6.3-Sone High-Speed Operation

Magic Lung ventilation does not force airflow through restrictive mesh or baffle filters. The more open airflow path supports strong capture with lower perceived operating noise, so ventilation can keep working without overwhelming the kitchen.

E-Z Clean Maintenance

Collected grease stays in the removable E-Z Clean shield and blower housing instead of a conventional filter. The shield and housing can be washed in a sink or dishwasher, while the removable blower wheels provide access for periodic cleaning.

SensaSource Automatic Heat Response

When cooking temperatures rise, the heat sensor can move the two-speed blower from low to full power. After the excess heat subsides, the system returns to low, adapting ventilation output as conditions change.

Four Dual-Level LED Lights

Four 2700K warm-white LEDs illuminate the cooking surface. Dual-level control provides brighter task light for food preparation and a softer setting when ambient kitchen lighting is preferred.

Ducted Indoor or Covered Outdoor Installation

The 900 CFM configuration uses 10 in round smooth galvanized metal ductwork and includes a VP562 combination transition. The hood can also be installed in a covered outdoor application when connected to a GFCI-protected branch circuit³.
